First time watching Star Trek?Anyone got any idea on where the crew quarters could be on the Titan, the windows don't seem to match up with the outside of ship?

The TOS transporter room was painted purple (in later seasons) for no apparent reason. The rest of the original sets were all painted base gray and given colors with spotlight gels. Colour TV was the reason.
Makes sense. This is probably why all the rest of the sets are generally gray, to allow the colorful uniforms to pop out on the screen all that much more.Zenith and RCA probably sold quite a few color sets based on the existence of shows like Star Trek.
