Anyone got any idea on where the crew quarters could be on the Titan, the windows don't seem to match up with the outside of ship?

I meant in terms of room decor. Obviously the arboretum was quite green too. As was the Albebaran whiskey.

I figured that's why they went with green though...otherwise, how will you know it's a computer?

The TOS transporter room was painted purple (in later seasons) for no apparent reason. The rest of the original sets were all painted base gray and given colors with spotlight gels. Who knows?

Green's also sort of pleasant on the eyes. Hell, corridors and even rooms on TOS could sometimes be a mix of red, blue and purple with the overhead environmental lighting.

The green transporter room is kind of relaxing, to be honest. The metal finish looks all business, to be fair.

But yeah the whole purpose of even the old red, blue and ahem, GREEN costumes on TOS was to sell color televisions.

Zenith and RCA probably sold quite a few color sets based on the existence of shows like Star Trek.

Makes sense. This is probably why all the rest of the sets are generally gray, to allow the colorful uniforms to pop out on the screen all that much more.
