A minor quibble at best and hardly the first time and actor has played someone younger than their actual; age. And the character is 24, IIRC. 20 doesn't have one look.

He can't be that old. He was conceived after Nemesis, which was 22 years before PIC S3.

He needs to stop calling every viewer a "nerd" at the beginning of the show. This is no longer the height of The Chris Hardwick Nerd Commodification Era and many viewers don't self-identify as "nerds." Also Star Trek is supposed to about inclusivity and that means welcoming nerds and non-nerds, if one is to use this outmoded jargon. I mean, The Sisko isn't a nerd, and Star Trek should want future Siskos in the audience to feel welcome to the franchise.

It's been his catch phrase/opening line on a number of shows that he's hosted on cable and YouTube so, no, he's not going to stop.

I do think the actor looks way too old to play such a young character, but on the flip side he has done a fantastic job on the whole acting thing so far considering how "son of iconic character" can go bad very quickly.

I think the guy in your avatar was 29 when he played the 22 year old James Kirk. ;)

Was Kirk 22y? Don't think he looked too old. Ed Speelers looks like my mates.

Born in 2233 and the bar scene in the film takes place in 2255. People age at different rates. To quote Dr. Henry Jones, Jr. "It not the years, honey. It's the milage."

That's why I wanted him to be born during that time-off that Beverly had during Season 2.

Then his age would be MUCH closer to his IRL age and things would align better.

Ok and how would you explain beverly pretending like she didn't have a SECOND SON throughout TNG?

He would have had a medical condition that required illegal genetic alterations that weren't acceptable in the UFP.

So she had family help raise the kid outside of the UFP until the events post Nemesis where she took time off from StarFleet to spend more time raising her son directly.

Why don't you just go with the ACCEPTED Star Trek explanation?

IE - She stored him (as a baby) in the 1701-D emergency medical transporter for a few years, and let him 'out' in secret for a few hours once a week or so...
    ;)

Eh, entire plots have been stolen. It's part of Star Trek tradition. ;)

Not from a show that is currently In-Production.

Indeed. Has no bearing on it whatsoever. If they want to borrow it, then they have several years of Trek tradition to back that up.

Wasn't there that time that Riker unexpectedly showed up to save the day (with the Jerry Goldsmith theme playing) in the season finale of two different Trek shows in the same year? ;)

That was confirmed to have been a coincidence.
