Some of it. Just a little. When someone attaches a video, I feel no need to watch it.

Only because it would disprove your argument.

I didn't see anything in there that had anything to do with the point I made, just more movie scenes.

I've watched about 6 episodes, so far, of season 3. It's not that good. I realized this when I finished an episode, I'd go to Pluto TV, and either TOS of TNG would be on. STD just wasn't able to stack up. I hope it gets better, or I may not even bother with season 4. Tilly is 1st officer? Huh? No sense there. And what the hell is she eating? Is that for the character or did the actress just gain a lot of weight? Shouldn't someone have a talk with her about that? They talk about everything else.

I love how DSC must "stack up" with TOS...if that's my measure I will be disappointed every time.

I don't care I still liked season 3... Season 4 rewatch soon . The actors seem to have aged a bit since season 3 . It just had a very different look.

There is a a really good behind the scenes piece on the DVDs about how they were filming and how they had to work around the covid restrictions.

Same. The comparison game will always be biased.

    I'd rather just enjoy.

Same, if you have the set of season 4 watch the behind the scenes feature before you watch the series it was just interesting to see how they coped during the pandemic

It's about being a good show or not. I watched the first episode of Picard season two, and felt it was pretty good. The only weird thing was that they seemed to have turned Seven into a lesbian or bisexual.

    That isn’t weird at all.

    Yes, it is.

It's why I like Discovery. No qualifiers, no comparisons. Just personal enjoyment.

I found it really hard to watch, season 4 was even worse (but we were rewarded in the last 3 episodes) but if you're enjoying it go you!

Well, to you maybe. But, that's Picard, so I'm not going to discuss it any further here.

Right from the get go, the ship design was weird, the spore drive was out of nowhere. And now, they are a thousand years in the future, and they have better technology (spore drive) than the people in the future? It's like someone from 1023 showing up with a holographic iPhone or something. It just makes it harder to get into.

Yep, the reason they gave for no spore drive in the other series at the end of season 2 was beyond dumb, you're telling me no one else picked up his work?? Not even in another power?? Then comes along season 3 and 1000 years in the future still no spore drive. Remember it turned out spore drive was harming those beings in the network? Stamets should've forced it shut at the point - much better explanation than "it's classified".

Well, no spores harvested, no tardigrade, and potentially killing whole crews...lots of tech to work out.

No one has ever recreated the Genesis Device as far as we know. It's not that unusual for tech to be brought up in Trek and never been seen again.

I don't think there was ever as much need for a Genesis device as there was for faster than light travel, especially after "the burn".

    Good grief. Ignore it.

@Gingerbread Demon I'm glad you're enjoying it. It's when the show turned a corner for me. I started to enjoy the show a lot more from Season 3 onwards.

Oh my gosh. Gray was so boring. Im glad they cut his screen time. He's not even starfleet or trained in anything useful. Pretty much a forgetful character. If they ever make a star trek action figure for him it would probably not sell well.
