The 2023 TV series is Secret Invasion (about Skrull infiltrators), the 2026 movie is Avengers: Secret Wars (climax of the Multiverse saga).

I could see that, or Secret Invasion. Secret Wars is going to most likely deal with the multiverse, so if AoS was not set on Earth 616 then that would be the more likely. But if it was on Earth 616, then she could pop up on Secret Invasion since that's focused on Nick Fury and Maria Hill and she has a lot of history with them. Even if AoS was on a different Earth, they could still introduce a new 616 version in Secret Invasion.

AOS was clearly in the MCU up until the end of Season Four given all of the guest stars who appeared in both the movies and the show.

My hand-waving is that after they returned from the future in Season Five they were on Earth-615 or -617 where Thanos is defeated before The Snap. And at the end of Season Seven the universe they go back to is the main one again.

Every time I hear that theory, my first impulse is to say "But Doctor Strange saw only one future where they defeated Thanos," and then I correct myself, "No, he only saw one future branching out from that moment where they defeated Thanos. That doesn't rule Thanos having already been defeated earlier in another timeline."

So I think this is a plausible theory. I think it's still marginally possible that season 6 is in the post-Snap world. It could be that the team just got lucky and didn't have any members dusted, and nobody mentioned the Snap because they were in denial and trying to avoid thinking about it, whereas by Endgame the world had moved on from denial to despair. But that's a reach, and maybe an alternate timeline is a simpler explanation.

    Maybe.

Doctor Strange 2 had a shorter release time between theatre and Disney+.

It gives them two weeks before Quantumania to try to hook viewers who didn't see it and clean out the theaters before they start the next big thing.

Personally i really only go the movies anymore if i'm really hot for a certain movie and have to see it as soon as possible and also to experience it on the big screen, which usually means blockbuster movies. The ones planned for this year are Ant Man, Guardians 3 and Dune Part Two, that's it for now.

Everything apart from that i can easily wait a few months before it hits streaming and i've covered most major streaming services. I just am not prepared to pay the ticket prices nowadays for movies i'm not sure will be worth it.

Wakanda Forever was a kind of letdown for me, it was ok as a Marvel movie but i expected much more and was a bit miffed to have paid so much to see it at the cinema.

Just have AOS to have taken place in the universe Thanos 'left' to attack the MCU 'present-verse' in Endgame. Sure we WATCHED AOS take place before the events of Endgame took place on screen, but whatever... ;)

The butterfly effect of that Thanos leaving could have altered the Guardians of the Galaxy formation and members (Gamora left that universe with Thanos is in the main MCU), so it could also open up for Ronan to continue to exist and be a threat in that universe which would be nice because I always felt like the MCU underutilized him.

In any case this being the Multiverse saga everything is possible without breaking any continuity as you can freely transpose characters from one universe to the other, this has happened in the comics many times and if Mavel wants it they can do all kinds of things until they drop and close that storyline.

Personally i believe Bennet to be a mediocre actress, it's ok for a mid range TV show but AoS never was in the running for an Emmy or Golden Globe, so the actors/actressess were not really pushed to deliver memorable performances. I enjoyed this show for a long time but i have no illusion where i would place it quality wise, it certainly was never in the range of Breaking Bad, The Sopranos and others that are still talked about today.

Late Season 5 took place during the first half of "Infinity War". Even Ebony Maw and Cull Obsidian's attempt to grab the Time Stone from Doctor Strange was mentioned by former S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Tony Caine (Jake Busey) in one of the late Season 5 episodes.

I don't know if that is possible, considering that Seasons 6 and 7 of AOS took place a year after the events of "Infinity War". And "Endgame" took place five years after the events of the 2018 movie. I don't know why Kevin Feige thought it was necessary to set "Endgame" five years after "Infinity War".

Perhaps so that the Snap had real impact. Reversing it too soon would've been too easy and anticlimactic. This way, even though everyone got restored, Thanos's actions still did lasting harm, and the aftermath has resonated through the MCU since (although, okay, some things like the Spidey movies pretty much gloss over it).

So, speaking as someone who did not watch AoS but kept up with some of the plot developments on the internet, how did things end up here? And by that I mean, why did a show that was allegedly well-coordinated with the films for years end up in a place where the final seasons don't seem to exist in the universe of the films anymore?

    THANK YOU!!!I
I thought I was the only one. It was an ok movie, with stellar performances. But the plot, pacing and overall concept.... No.
In the end, every small moment just went into BIG CGI ORGYFESTCOMBATCLUSTERSCENE. It's exactly why I'm hesitant about the new AntMan. Which I will see in cinema's because I need to hang out with my cinema buddy againBut she and I were equally disappointed in Wakanda Forever.

It's been while so I don't remember exactly how it went, but when the show started the I believe the movie and TV parts of Marvel were together, but part way through they split. I think that might have been at least part of why they stopped coordinating things as tightly as the show went on.

Yes, obviously they should go to another dimension and film Ant-Man 3 there so they can be more "authentic" and not need CGI...

There's ways of telling amazing superhero movies without resulting in a continues bombardment of cgi/sfx. It's all about going bigger and more, not about the actual story they want to tell.
