2020 X Box Series X Vs. Playstation 5 thread.

Sony are such cheap bastards. Ordered a $70 controller from Amazon and they don’t even include a USB cable.

I got one of these for the PS4 when they came out:

I have a Razer Wolverine wired Xbox One controller that I use with my Series X. Though I only use it sporadically (kids and animals), which is why I'm just staying with the wireless controllers for the PS5.

I have a new dualshock with camo just like that one. The original one broke when I got clumsy dropped it then didn't see it and stepped on it.

I was so glad when they introduced the blue tooth controllers. I can't even begin to guess how many times the dogs ran past and either yanked the controller out of my hand, or pulled the whole system off the stand when we still used wired controllers.

I hear Sony will be releasing a new revised model of the PS5 which will have no optical drive but you can then buy the drive as a add-on if you wish, which seems fine if it means they can deal with stock issues which is still somewhat of a issue here in the UK depending on where you live.

Getting a ps5 in the uk has never been hard. I managed to buy 5 over the last few years.
You just have to keep an eye out.

And that's my problem - i don't want to go hunting for one, i want to get on Amazon or any physical electronics store and just pick one up. That still is not the case.

Right now there's sales going on in Germany that have promised delivery until the end of January yet when i check these guaranted deliveries are now promised until end of February. Considering the price and available free gaming time on my behalf i'm not too hot to get one but i still wonder when this drama will be really over and PS5s get regular stock in any store.

In the end only the few exclusives they have are of interest to my like GoW Ragnarok, Ghost of Tsushima and possibly Last of Us were of interest but i can wait.

The series X is much easier to get and it's actually more powerful. Some good exclusives coming out for that this year too.

Do the Curry’s VIP thing. That’s the easiest way to get one.
It’s not like hunting for one takes a lot of time.

It depends on where you live...
Big city with multiple stores selling consoles or a little town with a single small store selling consoles...

Not really. It was done online with me. Where you live in the UK should be immaterial. Unless you live in the Shetlands or something
