I haven't been to a game since 2019 (where I ended up sitting beside Andrew Phung from Kim's Convenience and Run The Burbs). I wanted to last year but just didn't happen. This year for sure!
I'm in the post-game, trying to remove [REDACTED] to open the [REDACTED] that seal in the [REDACTED]. Not having much luck.
Now that I can cross the border again, I'm going all-in with Canada. Montréal in May, Toronto in June, and Calgary (the Stampede) in July.
Nice. Be sure to get your Schwartz's and bagels in Montreal.

I would love to go back to Ottawa as well but unfortunately there is a lot of construction chaos going on up at Parliament Hill. So it could be awhile.

If construction chaos is a worry, Montreal may not be the place for you
. Apparently when the mob does all a cities infrastructure work, it never gets finished. Who would have ever thunk it?I haven't been in Montreal proper since before covid (well, I've driven through it, but not stopped). Ottawa only a few times since COVID. Although I live not far from both.
Ah. That's frustrating. Hope your luck improves. I'm hoping to get Violet when I can. Shiny hunting in Shield to fill the time. Beldum are a pain to hunt.

The thing about Ottawa though is that they're completely renovating Centre Block and it won't be done until something like 2030.
As for Montréal, I'm curious as to whether the REM will be done by the time I get there. Probably not the spur that goes to the airport...oh well, there's always the 747 bus.
And I am still kicking around the idea of going to the winter carnival in Quebec City but I don't think I can do it until Jean-Lesage Airport gets US border preclearance (which I'm fairly sure it doesn't have yet). Also I'm concerned that Quebec City might not be quite as English-friendly as Montréal is (I speak precisely ONE WORD of French).
And, God help me, that damn snowman would haunt my dreams, I'm sure of it.

Quebec City is French, unlike Montreal with its massive English population, but a huge portion of the population there speaks English as a second language (and everyone in anything related to tourism) so you won't have an issue. I'm purely Anglais and I've been to Quebec City a few times, never had a language issue. It's a beautiful place, and just outside of the city is the waterfall and the cheese/wine island with the oldest cheese maker in North America. You just go in a circle stoping at wineries/cheese makers around the island.

It's a good way to spend the day. Just go walk over the waterfall first, before you drink all the wine.
Old Quebec City is beautiful.
