Spoilers Star Trek: Picard General Discussion Thread

The new sword seems to be a long meqleH with a hole at the end, perhaps for the other hand
That’s the commemorative plate sorted early

Using her ancestral candle ghost powers, Beverly has managed to hide out as an apparition of a shrunken floating head above and behind Jean-Luc's left shoulder blade, haunting him from just outside the range of his peripheral vision.

(Yes, I know she's wearing a black turtleneck, it just looks weird and blends into the background)

Kick ass poster, though.

Beautiful poster. I wonder if they will sell prints? I want one to frame. Picard looks sad though, don’t you think? His eyes are welling up. I hope that season three is not a tragedy for him?

I think that's more an aritificate or reflection added to the poster in the eyes. Riker has it too.

That's their MO

TrekCore posted a higher res version of that Worf shot from a month ago

Worf: "I prefer to be called a pacifist now."
(Ignore the giant sword on my back with the pointy grip that would totally stab me in the back of the head if I got head-butted, as Klingons do)

Picard: "The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in our lives."
(Ignore my huge French chateau and hundreds of acres of private property passed down through centuries of inherited wealth along with my Federation famous wine business)

Perhaps they are *all* sad? That can’t be a good thing if it is true, we want our heroes to be happy, especially in their twilight/retirement years. I had a feeling in the first trailer that the TNG crew only came back because they had to, but hopefully they will all make it through the season and be available for a potential continuation spin-off starring…
Seven of Nine
I have a bad feeling….
…about Raffi though, I think that Seven may have another tragic loss. Hopefully I am wrong
:(

I think you're reading too much into this.

I doubt the poster was intended to do anything other than look cool (moody is a thing now).

If I may be extremely bold and blunt, and channel my inner philosopher a moment; of course I want my heroes (whomever that might be) to be happy. I would like many people to be happy. I want you to be happy. But, there is no drama in happiness. So, as much as I would love to for this season to be the Elysian Fields of TNG, there is also the fact that this is a drama and they will have to go through some sort of suffering.
