Star Trek passings

The show was being negotiated and written in 1964. They could have been dating by that time and married in '65. The show aired in sept. '66.

Right. And Koenig got hired in 1967. So they were married since 1965 before he was in Trek. Pretty sure only Kelley and Koenig stayed married to their first spouse.

Also they did not take down Maggie Thrett from the recently deceased page at IMDb. If you click on that link that I posted yesterday it's still shows her as the fourth most recent death among celebrities. Of course as additional people in the entertainment industry pass away she will be moved further and further down that list. Her Main page at IMDb does not show her as being deceased.

Maggie Thrett Death Fact Check
Maggie is alive and kicking and is currently 76 years old.
Please ignore rumors and hoaxes.

I’m don’t know if this means anything to this group, but the agent for Maggie posts in one of the Star Trek Las Vegas groups I participate in on Facebook and he reported the news. Also IMDB has it marked that she did pass away.

Grant, that's really odd that you found that on Memory Alpha. I checked it last night around 11pm and there was nothing nor could I find anything on Imdb at that hour.

I think what happened was her agent/rep told a friend who is a Trek convention staffer informally she had passed and hadn't made an actual announcement. So the guy prematurely posted it. Then later her rep made it official.
The amazing thing is that she had a rep after retiring from the industry 52 years ago!! I'll bet there are a dozen TOS actors whose career was small and they were retired for so long that didn't have an agent to announce their death. There are about 6 TOS actor whose only role was in the show in 66-69 and there will unlikely be an announcement when they pass. So cool their one role was something so iconic and it should be remembered.

If someone is diligent enough, they could try researching deaths in the social security or similar databases (assuming the birth or legal name is known).

Got news on four actors, one of which you probably already knew about but I, apparently, did not.
David Selburg, passed away 2021, appeared in TNG's episode 'The Big Goodbye'.
Michael Braveheart passed away 2022, appeared in TNG's episode 'The Child'.
Gregory Itzin passed away 2022, appeared in TNG's episode 'Dax'.
Tyson Weihe passed away 2022, appeared in Enterprise's episode 'Cold Front'.

^I had only heard about Itzin -- David Selburg was surprising as he worked quite a bit on tv.
R.I.P. to them all.

Robert Patrick just posted on Instagram that we lost Earl Boen. He was Nagilum in "Where Silence Has Lease", but was probably best known as Dr. Silberman in the Terminator films.

He also did voice work in a number of animated series, including the Red Skull and Beyonder in the 90's Spider-Man animated series.
