Indiana Jones 5. It's official.

I really hope this movie doesn’t end up demonizing the space program as a whole.
I don't see how? Any more than villainous world leaders demonize the whole country?
Harrison talks de-ageing (the more spoilerphobic of you might view this as a spoilerish story but I don’t think most people would, FWIW) https://variety.com/2022/film/news/...245COrEUG0u2KLcxXafUdKlXxsPfukmN7I0SkqS2W3h-4
I like this idea of how they are trying to approach the technology and the refinement process. While I don't agree with the tech I'll be curious to see the application. At least that feels very LFL.

Well, the article I just read said that it deals with
The ex-Nazi scientists who were brought here during Operation Paperclip and built the space program. Which, frankly, if true, rings very similar to the Amazon series "Hunters."

For All Mankind Season 1 had the US Government use von Braun's connection to the Nazis and SS as a scapegoat when the moon lading project fell behind.

The X-Files was using Operation Paperclip as plot material in the 90s. Not sure if it cropped up anywhere before this but wouldn't be surprised if it did.

Also confirmed that Phoebe Waller Bridge's character's name is Helena and she's Indy's goddaughter

Sounds like the beginning will start off very much like an Indiana Jones movie with a exhilarating opening sequence and then we do a transition to 1969 with 80 year old Indiana Jones.

The rumor going around is that the title is

"Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny".

Considering how prominent that prop seems(even in the fourth picture) to be I want to believe it plays a big part

"Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny"... but at that point in history, would be the Touch Tone of Destiny?

Actually, it's more a very fit and healthy 80-year-old Harrison Ford playing a 70-year-old Indy with a TON of mileage and hard living behind him. People did indeed age faster back then.

That’s my head canon too. But god knows what on earth Harrison has done to be like he is at 80.

My head cannon too, though it didn't help his dad. Or maybe it did, ultimately.

I have an idea Harrison Ford got on the healthy train early on and quit smoking and got food-healthy. I remember the scene in The Fugitive (1996) where he stripped down to get into scrubs in the hospital and was kind of amazed that "a guy his age" had such a physique. I was 26 at the time, so he was "old." LOL
