They released the Discovery Season 5 teaser, so maybe they will release what they show for Picard.

Paramount plus just posted the Picard Season 3 trailer on their Youtube channel and I can say we definitely get to see Brent Spiner in the preview and reveals who he's playing. I don't want to spoil it. But It looks like season 3 is going out with a bang.

Just finished Picard S1 - and I enjoyed it thoroughly! Great visuals, overall pretty good acting, and some interesting revelations, from various characters.

No doubt already discussed at length: one quite glaring omission however, is the fate of Narek - who seems to vanish into plot ether - and I’ve since read about his character’s S1 ending falling by the editing wayside.

So I’m hoping he shows up in S2, which I’m about to start.

IIRC, Chabon said there was a deleted scene showing him being taken into Starfleet custody.

Not breaking news, but I was looking at the writing credits for PS3 and they're all writers from PS2 (but no Goldsman or Beyer natch) except for one newcomer, Sean Tretta, who co-writes 3 PS3 eps.; Tretta a vet of 12 Monkeys who is said to be developing a contemporary female Zorro with Robert Rodriguez for the CW. Tretta got his start making no-budget horror videos with titles like The Great American Snuff Film and The Death Factory Bloodletting. https://www.imdb.com/name/nm1995338/

I enjoyed seasons 1 and 2 of Picard but it’s almost like TPTB were given instructions from the studio to make Star Trek ‘lite’ with minimum legacy character and references etc but not actually make *real* Star Trek that fits with Berman (and before) era canon and style. For season 3 it’s like the studio told TBTB that now they can make real Star Trek…. At the end of season two, after teasing us with the scenes on the Stargazer, the ‘money men’ probably said “Make some old school Star Trek now! On your marks, get set…. GO!” then the producers and writers all scrambled to get as much fanwa*nk material and legacy characters as possible and cram it all in to one final season.
