What games are you playing currently?

got Ninja Turtles Cowabunger Collection for my Playstation 4 from Walmart earlier today so Im playing some of the games.

In the middle of the SNES Tournament Fighters game. Its kind of neat but the gameplay is slow as heck where the AI fighters block all the time and attack me hard.

Was the SNES Tournament Fighters always that slow?

Near the middle part of Mafia 3. Seems to have taken over my gaming for a while so will do my murder run of Outer Worlds after this. I want to get the worst possible ending in that and kill everything that moves

I'm a convert. I NOW freaking love The Outer Worlds
I'm doing all the DLC before I uninstall as I got 70 hours of play from this. Doing multiple runs and I think the very last run I will do is "Kill everything that moves" to see how that changes the ending.

I've actually just started playing this last week. At first I found it difficult, mostly because the first pistol you get is quite weak. Actually, I find most bullet-based weapons to be way underpowered, even the shotgun feels ineffective. But it was once I got my first energy weapon that the game started clicking with me. They feel so satisfying! The game is also quite gorgeous.

I still can't get over speedrunners. I posted the video here a while back but someone did this game in 12 minutes

That's crazy. I don't even get the appeal of speedrunning. It's like food eating contests. So, you can eat really fast, so what? What does that get you other than possibly not being able to enjoy that particular food ever again?

A while back somebody posted a video on Youtube of the opposite of speedrunning for Super Mario Bros. Mario just stood there until the timer ran out and he died.

So far I am enjoying this game. I had an initial hiccup with accidentally wandering off course from the first quest and being confused as to why nothing seemed to be happening. But once I got back on track, the story is fun. The 'gacha' mechanic includes paid options, but I understand you can still do quite a lot and get good items and characters and win the game just playing for free. I already got a fairly rare-ish character that I wanted, much sooner than I expected and without paying anything.

I've been having a blast with Genshin Impact. I've found that it gets a decent amount of hate online for the gacha wish mechanic since the paid stuff can end up getting really, really expensive for gamers who are, uh, overly enthusiastic about getting all the characters and such. I wish there was just a paid DLC option where you could buy groups of characters outright. But I don't worry too much about it. So far I have not run into anything that makes me feel like I need to pay to progress further in the game.

Some of the quests are kind of tedious as you have to go do something at a different part of the map and then come all the way back to town report back, and then do that again, and again. Combat could have used a little more variety as it seems like oftentimes you just end up mashing buttons and hitting a monster over and over again with the same attack moves because they have a lot of HP.

I don't care what the shitty reviews say, I'm LOVING Saint's Row. The only good review I could find on it was Reiner from Game Informer, who gave it an 8.5. Instead of a PS5 version of GTA V, it reminds me of a PS5 version of GTA: San Andreas. Some of these missions have me laughing my ass off. It was the breath of fresh air I needed coming off of God of War (and before God of War Ragnarok  ) A lot of the complaints are about the bugs, but I've encountered nothing game breaking. I have encountered a lot of police chases with cars exploding and flying around with no rhyme or reason, which just adds to the chaos

I've been playing Spider-man Remastered on Steam. I have played the original version on PS4 and thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm going to try and 100% it before I look for something else to play. I've not been an active gamer for years so hopefully will be able to find some good games to play!

Is this the same as the Spiderman game on PS4 / PS4?

I jumped back into Dishonored 1 and 2 as I haven't played them in years, found both on sale on GOG so snapped them up. I love the look and design of these games and the world they created is fantastic if dark and icky.

My favourite game level is the clockwork mansion, best level ever now that I managed to explore every nook and cranny of the mansion and even more when you duck behind all the folding walls and floors.

Horizon Zero Dawn (PS4) is a pretty epic game and, I believe, available on PC. Though with the DLC, I put over 100 hours into my playthrough of it.

One of those games everyone should play at least once. It's my favourite just for the story and lore. I kind of feel they disappointed a little with the second game in the series. Story was short, story was way, way too predictable in parts. It was padded out with too many side missions and fetch things quests. I'm hoping that the third and final game can bring back some of the magic of the first one.

Sounds to me like the sign of a game series that was never intended to be more than just a single game. I mean, as much I liked the world and the story in the first game, there was so much of a wide expanse to traverse, and much of it just felt empty and lifeless. This is reflected in the fact that many of the sidequests are in some of the far reaches of the map. I actually quite liked the sidequests in the first game and I wished there were more of them to make parts of the map have more life to them, other than simply being areas where collectables are located.

Thank you, I have seen a few bits about it in passing. I will give it a deeper look and see what it's like. If it has a good story that is great as I like to get wrapped up in a story.

Guerilla Games had definite intentions of Horizon being a trilogy. Just I felt the 2nd game was a bit of a letdown after how strong the first one was.

Well, while the first game does leave it open for a followup, they might have focused on just making a great game with the first one, and when it really took off, really grabbed onto the trilogy aspect. That could account for the first one having a great story but the second not so much.

I started playing Wolfenstein: The New Colossus yesterday and Scarlet Nexus today. The New Colossus is a fairly typical Wolfenstein game. So it's entertaining but nothing special. However I'm really enjoying Scarlet Nexus... I'm only about five hours into it, but so far I really like it.

I like the name. What kind of game is Scarlett Nexus?
