News TOMY Star Trek Diecast Ship Replicas

1701 refit (but no bloody A)
KDF D7 (TMP version)

16 inches.

I'd buy both in a heartbeat but they better deliver to Canada.

The 1701-refit was my first choice. The survey specifically mentions "The Motion Picture" for it, but I wouldn't be surprised if they passed on trying to recreate the pearlescent TMP finish and went with the flatter finish from TWOK, as a "Wrath of Khan" version would probably be an easier sell for crowdfunding since it's the more popular property.

Do you have a link to the survey? Are they still doing it?

While I'm not planning to get any of these, I would hope that the TOS/TOS movies and SNW ships are in the same scale as the TOS Enterprise.

It looks like they're just considering three options at present sizes, I don't think anything will be in precisely the same scale (although, if they do a 32 inch TMP 1701 it'll be pretty close).

Anyone ever find out what the results of the survey were?
I doubt they’d ever disclose the results. It’s just one data point for future strategy. They may decide to do something different, which will then disappoint those who thought their selection “won” and was coming next.

Thanks for that, I wasn't sure if I'd missed a press release from them but I suppose their efforts will be centred around the 1701 they're putting into production. With the cost they're charging for that model, I really hope they do a 1701-D after the disappointment of the Eaglemoss part work.

Hello TrekBBS folks, I'm a new member. I found out about this recently and tried to do my due diligence. Found out it ended last year, lol.

I would have backed this. But just reading this thread there's a chance that other models will be made eventually. Hopefully, this is the first of many. Wouldn mind seeing SNW 1701 Enterprise come to fruition on a large scale. Hope fans in general support this. Because not a lot of people have the ability and talent to build stuff like this and is not in their expertise. Sorry for bringing up an old thread. Thanks.
