Astra's ENT action figures in action

You have the coolest toys. :mallory:

The "KHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!!!" Kirk is (pardon the pun) a real scream. :scream:

"It's been a long road..." :guffaw: Great stuff.

And I love the Big Stars of Star Trek doing Big Shakespeare British Star of Star Trek's dishes.

I actually loved the last frame, the outtake. Trip's arms still up, valiantly protecting the basket by blocking with his head...

I like the basketball game with Archer and Trip that's cute and clever thanks for posting it.:guffaw::lol::luvlove::bolian::rommie::rofl:

Thank you! Want some more Behind the Scenes?

The basketball game is one you can really play, and the wooden pole was way too long. At first I thought I would have to tape it to the kitchen table, but surprisingly it held snug by just pushing the table against the wall (aside from the one time it fell down). It held so fast, that Jon was hanging there all night and still when I came back to the kitchen in the morning. Quite impressive!

The other end, sticking out from under the table:

A new team member has arrived! Not everyone seems to be happy about this addition.

And two bonus scenes. They were done in response to something a friend said on Twitter, so I'm not sure how funny they will be out of context, but I'll post them anyway for completion. I'm always happy to be inspired by witty comments though!

This was in reply to a suggestion how Canadians keep warm in the winter. I want to stress that no bears were harmed in the making of these pictures!

Another behind the scenes shot what it looks like when I dig through various boxes to get hat, rifle and knife.

And here the captain just wants to make himself a nice cup of tea! Nothing can go wrong, right?

PS: The towel over Archer's shoulder is an homage to Scott Bakula, who has worn a similar kitchen towel in scenes where he was cooking, in several different TV series and movies. I have a collection of screenshots if you are interested ;)

A new crew member has arrived! But not everyone seems to like him...

Then I reached the episode "Carpenter Street". I had once bought this set of "Reservoir Dogs" a while ago, I never even have watched the movie, I just liked the figures but never did anything with them. Well, until now!

And then the episode "Chosen Realm". Jon at the computer terminals.

But I had to cheat a little and put them up higher as they were too small for him:

Necessity is the mother of invention. And creativity. I love your workarounds, so creative.

Special kudos for the Bakula Towel On Shoulder tribute scenes! :techman:

Aww, you're sweet. RL has been keeping me pretty busy, but your humble moderator is never far away. :)

He looks awesome. And you're getting Porthos, too, fabulous!

Love the look of the away mission. That EV suit is incredibly detailed. And Shran! More awesome points for you. :techman:

The video is great, with our intrepid Captain watching the water lapping against the shore. Great stuff!

Thank you! Does nobody notice that something is missing in the space suit at the back? That silver pack that comes extra, I always forget to put it in. Is it where the oxygen is stored? I have no idea to be honest.

Yes! I had not expected that!

A huge steamboat came and made big waves and suddenly the captainw was not standing on the shore anymore but in the middle of the water! And then he fell in. That's why his helmed is so foggy in the third picture (you also can see the steamboat in the background)

Ready for more?

We had a heat wave in Germany during the past weeks, very hot, so I remembered I always wanted to make this scene from the episode "Singularity". Cooling off the captain!

And while tidying - I never tidy for long as I always keep finding things. That's how I found the "Reservoir Dogs" figure that I used for "Carpenter Street" and I also found this Wright Flyer which I once had bought for my customized Ed Mercer figure.

And then, making my way further through the show, I came to the "Kir'Shara" episode. I painted my desert Jon a little scuffy, sweaty and dirty. Don't worry, it's only water colors, it will wipe off easily - but why would I want to? I love him that way ;)

I liked that scene in "Singularity," nice homage. :techman:

Love scruffy away-mission Archer, too. And using watercolors because they wipe off -- brilliant! How to make your action figure look all kinds of different, temporarily. Well done!

This made my day thank you.The Singularity scene is cute and clever and the scene with Archer in the desert are fun too.:luvlove::biggrin:

Thank you very much! I am always happy to hear I made someone's day! We are living in such weird times right now so a bit of respite and fun is in order and I am happy to provide that.

As you can see, the shower is way too small for him, good thing he was lying down anyway ;)

I will be soon running out of Enterprise pictures, I am almost caught up posting what I had so far so from now on you will have to wait for new inspiration with the rest of them. So I hope it's okay if I stall a bit and add some pictures of how I made the bathroom walls and floor instead - it's all hand cut out cardboard pieces, glued one by one. Lot of work so I got some help from action figures ;)

Thank you! I got the idea once when I made Chakotay dirty. He had walked 500 miles you know, to find some flowers for Valentine's day.

If you want to see the whole Valentine's Day story, it's here:

PS: I made that hexagonal box out of a pencil sharpener! I had watched the episode where Chakotay and Seven were stranded and they had such a box.

One morning I lay in bed and my mind was wandering, thinking, now where have I seen this shape before... and then it hit me. My mother had given me this pencil sharpener many years ago. And it was the perfect size for the figures. I cut off one end, and added the lid made from cardboard. I am very proud of this one!

I love it. In a world where everything gets 3D printed now, I very much enjoy seeing things being made out of whatever is lying around. :techman:

Such dedication and patience! Like doing counted cross stitch.

Creativity is looking at a pencil sharpener and seeing what else it could be. :techman:

Scruffy Chakotay is quite a looker, just sayin. I still think Kathryn was a dope to pass him up.

Yes! It's kind of - meditative? Still I was glad when it was done!

I always have been like that, making something out of nothing. Even as a child.
But in this case, it was really nagging me while watching the episode, where have I seen this particular shape before, until it finally hit.

Scruffy Chakotay is quite a looker, just sayin. I still think Kathryn was a dope to pass him up.
He is! In my story, she was kissing him and then ended up with some smudge on her face as well. Oops!

That's cute this is very clever using the Voyager characters in your scenes.:):bolian:.

They have to work for their living, it's not all just fun and games!
Here we have some figures helping to clean their Detolf ;)

You are very creative. The cactuses look like they are made of chocolate.
Thank you! Haha, they do!
They're fake, I got one of those fake plant pots and removed the pot.

Aw thank you! And yes, I really use what I have on hand (and I collect everything in case I need it one day). When creativity hits, I don't want to go to the inner city and buy craft things. I want to start immediately.

Especially for you, two more of my creations I am very proud of!

Started with some styrofoam:

Added cardboard pieces:

Bits and bobs:

... and we have a sickbay bed!

Where did I get the pattern for the sheet you ask? This is the very original pattern! I once contributed to the Star Trek Continues Crowdfunding and got a pillow with original (re-made) sickbay cloth, which I scanned.

Working table:

Old credit card:

More bits and bobs:

Clear plastic and colored paper:

Don't get sucked into the world of beads. There is never coming out of it. So many great shapes!

(I did not make the chess pieces. I already owned them)
