Spoilers She-Hulk: Attorney at Law discussion thread

How did I completely miss the amazing easter egg/reference that is Bruce talking to Jen about Blonsky and saying that their fight was so long ago, he's a different man now, literally. Jen actually looks into the camera and goes 'hah'.

I feel so dumb now.
I probably wouldn't have caught it if I hadn't seen a story on the subject a day or two before.

I was so dense I thought it was referring to Hulk's current hybrid state. I haven't watched those Hulk movies in a long time.

YouTube's amazing algorithm just recommended me another lovely account- That Star Wars Girl
aka another whiny "I hate everything" account

Apparently the first She-Hulk episode was "AWFUL!", according to her video graphic... so awful in fact she's made 11 more videos in a row about the show since then
But obviously she didn't dislike it enough to not watch the second episode, oh no. That one was a "CATASTROPHE!"

Here's to hoping you like the third one tomorrow maybe!

(I don't watch the videos btw, the titles and graphics just amuse me, and how they're all just simply showing what utter losers they are. And before I put the block on, hoping yet again YouTube get the idea I don't wanna see this negative crap)

I am it yet unclear on if other people in Jen’s proximity are aware she’s talking to the audience/ thin air or if they are completely oblivious to her fourth wall breaking.
Given that her new boss was totally oblivious that was talking to us, I'm guessing they aren't, unless it would be really funny if they were. I think Scrubs or 30 Rock (or probably both) did a joke where we saw a cutaway from the outside and the character was just staring off into space for a moment in the middle a conversation so we saw what it looked like when someone imagined or remembered something on the show.

I know for a fact this happened with JD in Scrubs, but since I never saw 30 Rock I can't comment on that one.

I got the meta implication of what Bruce was saying, but totally missed Jen looking right down the barrel. That's a fun detail.

I don't know about that. Bruce seemed to notice in the first episode, and that boss seems like just the sort to be utterly oblivious to anything anyone says that isn't a direct response to anything he says, and even then it's 50/50 what he actually hears and what he wants to hear.

Admittedly I'm kinda holding onto a pet theory that the 4th wall break is Jen's version of "the other guy" as an externalised observer(s) instead of an internalised alt personality. That or her transformation also somehow included a semi-conscious awareness of the multiverse or something.
Not that there has to be an explanation of course. It's a funny lawyer show, and that's enough.

I'm reading the page about Sokovia Accords and they explicitely said that an enhanced individual who breaks the law can be detained indefinitely without trial. They are still valid?!?!

Spys are shot.

The lose definition of a spy back then is being out of uniform.

If Hogan was caught blowing up a bridge, it's conceivable that every man in Stallag 13 might have been executed, which is why a responsible Allied Officer would inform on Hogan to the Germans, unless specifically ordered not to, to save the other 200 blokes in the camp who had no idea what was going on, from being hung.
Like I said, worse than just being an escaped POW.
I think every bloke in the camp knew what was going on. Every one was probably planted there by the Allies. Might even got sent home when their tour was up.

I'm thinking this show maybe drawing on some parallels from the real world, specifically the fact that police departments/law enforcement agencies haven't exactly had great publicity in recent years. Maybe within the MCU, after the rather public disgrace that DODC made of themselves in Ms. Marvel, the public backlash from which has led to some leniency is being shown to those with superpowers, specifically the right to a trial and due process.

She-Hulk takes place before Ms Marvel.

I found today's episode a lot more fun to watch. The pacing was better; scenes were cut very well, just as long or short as they needed for a good flow. There was a nice level of absurdity throughout that meshed with the story. Maybe I'm just getting used to the style, but I enjoyed it the most of the three episodes so far.
