Sorry, no full sized Timothy Chalamet you can own and program to your own desires. You'll have to settle for the 1/4 sized version.

Its a mythical book for movie bros so they thought they could use them for investment or.... something like that?

My opinion is they bought the book thinking they could scam people into into investing into a project that could never happen, then the crypto crash happened and crushed them

Basically. Individual people could buy into their project via blockchain NFTs of the book and be part owners of the series they "were definitely making". Then the bottom fell out of the crypto market and they had to liquidate the book to replace their losses. The major players were all involved in other cyrpto scams as well

Let me also add that the Jodorowsky movie would have never been made. Sure they had detailed grand plans - but no money to film it, and no studio would ever finance that monster. And also, sci-fi fans should be very grateful that it didn't get made. It would have been truly WTF based on what we know of the plans for it and probably would have set sci-fi back decades.

Yeah, I always find it weird when people praise the plans for that movie, I hated it so much I couldn't even finish the documentary  It actually made me hate the Lynch movie slightly less just because it seems like less of an insult to the book by comparison (although its still a terrible movie).

No one involved in the Jodorowsky film had ever read the book, and still haven't. A fact they all admit to in the documentary about it released a few years back.

Sounds about right for what I would expect.

At least the abandoned Jodorowsky project gave us The Incal universe.

Not quite right. It says they haven't read the book at the time, which means they might, or might not have read the book since.

Jodo himself talks about how nothing at all happens in the first 100 pages, so I guess he read at least the cliff notes.

Jodorworsky has also blasted the current movie, saying it was 'industrial filmmaking' simply because it was going to follow the book exactly (and has done so as shown on the screen) and not be anything like his grand 'vision'.

Well, that is certainly an opinion.

To paraphrase Nick Fury from the MCU " I realize that Jodorowky has an opinion but since it is a dumb ass opinion i chose to ignore it" ;)

I'm all for creativity and leaving the well trodden path but Jodorowsky has left the path so much he's lost in the woods ( still love his comics though).

I have no issue with his opinion or him stating it. However, I find little benefit in him running down another production. It benefits no one.

It's not like any studio worth it's salt would touch Jodorowky's concept for Dune for all the spice in the universe. Might have happened in the 70s but not today.

Closest would be if some-one ponied up some money for an animated version but you're still probably going to burn $10s of millions to make it.
