DC Movies - To Infinity and Beyond

Yes, "active development" should emphasize the "development" part, which offers nothing conclusive. As a character, Black Canary has not had the kind of appeal (in the comics) as characters most think of when saying "DC", so if this turns out to go before cameras as a theatrical production, I suspect it will go the Flash route and have significant cameos from a heavy-hitter or two to draw the average movie-goer in.

Grant Gustin is an absolutely fine TV actor in that slightly wooden soap fashion but he's not someone you'd put in a big film.

I would never advocate Gustin being the new Flash for the movies. He's been playing the role too long on television and it's probably time for him to move on. But I don't agree with your assessment of Gustin's action abilities. Nor do I agree with this belief that acting for television is somewhat inferior to acting for the movies.

Also . . . I now feel that the DCEU is dead and the MCU is stuck on some long-term death march. I still believe it's time for Hollywood to take a break from comic book movies and television.

Indeed.

Like the Western genre before it, the market overloaded on the big screen and TV is approaching the critical nadir of the genre as the quantity over quality movement (the MCU and Berlanti's CW series most guilty in this regard) is leading it over the cliff. Only paced and patient creation of film projects will ease the stigma of a genre wildly out of control, but in the end, suffering the same outcome as the Western is inevitable, sooner or later.

Been that way for a while now. Pretty standard oversaturation of a market and then the inevitable law of diminishing returns and the market slowly responds.

There are major differences between comic book movies today and western oversaturation back in the day. Or even Historical Epic over satutuation in the 2000s. That's not to say that the MCU will never end, of course it will, but the situations aren't really comparable.

Vermont child services after them now

Rolling Stone: The Ezra Miller Saga Now Involves Vermont’s Child Services Department.
https://www.rollingstone.com/cultur...er-vermont-child-services-department-1392572/

Over the weekend, Vermont State Police repeatedly attempted to serve the mother an emergency care order that demanded the children’s removal from her care and the home over fear of their safety. But Miller claimed the family hasn’t lived there in months, which the Vermont State Attorney’s office said seemed like an attempt to “evade service” of the order, according to the court document obtained by Rolling Stone.

Several police cars arrived at the property on Tuesday night, according to photos reviewed by Rolling Stone, as a local source confirmed officers were at the house for nearly an hour. But it is not clear if officials were at Miller’s property over the emergency care order or another matter.

Or another matter... Lol.

Yeah. Every forum I've visited on this topic has cracked down hard on making sure to use the right terminology when referring to Ezra Miller
