At least according to a plaque made for PIC Season 2.

They actually did show up in PIC S2. But they’re out of focus in the background of a hallway shot. Very few people would notice.

Going out on a limb here - Could Spiner be playing a Brand New Out of the Box Data? Could have be a final gift from Q. That could fit with the line of an "old new character" In addition, Spiner's contract for Picard did state not playing Data for SE2, nothing about SE3.

I like this idea! It'd be kinda fun to have an old man Data acting like new born Data. However, rather than be a gift from Q, I think it would be more in line at this point (and way funnier) to have him be a WHOLE OTHER android that no one knew about before! This one was built AFTER Data and AFTER Julianna and of course Noonien never mentioned it.

They've killed Data twice now. I really doubt they'll just bring him back, unless it's a holodeck recreation.
