Apparently so. Oops.Is there an echo in here?
Not here, but it'll be on Disney + sometime in 2023
Yeah, that was one of my first thoughts after learning about that stupid decision. Disney could've easily buried The New Mutants especially considering the film's bumpy road to release. They could've just blamed it all on that production and said they weren't going to bother. But they didn't do with that route. You know, the Batgirl debacle makes me happy that at least Disney didn't shelve New Mutants when they bought Fox. It wasn't my cup of tea, but some people liked it and it was good for them it didn't get shelved for a tax scheme.
Dang... you beat me to it!Not here, but it'll be on Disney + sometime in 2023
Between their obvious directing talents and Christina Hodson's excellent work for Birds of Prey (one of the few DC films I genuinely loved) and Bumblebee (the only good Transformer film) makes it very hard for me to believe that Batgirl wasn't a good to great film, regardless of the reports of it testing poorly (which I don't give a fuck about). The directors of Batgirl also directed episodes 1 and 6 of Ms Marvel, arguably the two best episodes of the show. I just finished watching the Marvel Studios assembled episode for Ms Marvel, and their enthusiasm for the character and their love of the genre is so apparent. I'm sure they would have brought something incredible to Batgirl.
There are also conflicting reports that it tested well, so its one of those "believe what you want" situations.Between their obvious directing talents and Christina Hodson's excellent work for Birds of Prey (one of the few DC films I genuinely loved) and Bumblebee (the only good Transformer film) makes it very hard for me to believe that Batgirl wasn't a good to great film, regardless of the reports of it testing poorly (which I don't give a fuck about).
It seems to be the night for it. Here's Patton Oswalt talking about Eternals 2. I'm guessing he's in for a call from Kevin...

Ryan Reynolds is getting in shape (not that he needs it) for Deadpool, so it can't be that long before they start shooting.

I saw someone online point out that if Disney had the desire they could probably get Leslie Grace to do something with them. I don't know how she actually is as an actor, but it would be hilarious if she got into an MCU project after DC screwed over her movie. Heck, Disney should hire these directors and her to do something for them, the free publicity alone would probably be worth it.
If they want to waste money on a sequel to their worst movie that also under performed at the box office, they deserve what they get. I wouldn't even waste my time watching an Eternals sequel on Disney Plus.
Huh. I hope this movie will have a plot that really impresses me. I disliked 2016's "Deadpool". I thought its story sucked.
