DC Movies - To Infinity and Beyond

If Warner's new criteria for the DC movies is blockbuster level only I can't see "Blue Beetle"* matching up to it either.

*Also noticeably absent from SDCC.

Remember that 90s Marvel vs DC comic book event where fans voted on who wins the fights? We will be able to get a movie version of that!
All I remember from that is this epic picture. You’ll never get this in today’s world.

I've already said that we'll probably be seeing similar news regarding Blue Beetle and Black Canary being abandoned sometime soon.

They did a few different ones during that time. There was also the Amalgam imprint where they combined certain Marvel and DC characters into one.

Yeah that was the result of the DC vs Marvel event, and it was much better than the event itself.

Will you feel better when the inevitably cancel The Flash, along with all scheduled HBO Max movies?

Why do you insist on trying to equate the future of The Flash with this decision?

The only projects this decision is likely to impact are Blue Beetle and Black Canary because of the primary reasons behind it.

This just sounds insane. Is the whole film just not considered up to new brand standards or something?

Well there must be a reason it was shelved. Probably wasn’t any good.

..or not the strong foundation for the alternate universe end of the DCEU as originally envisioned. For all anyone knows, it could have been perceived as being as crappy and off-putting as a Berlanti DC series, and quite obviously, that would not serve the DCEU at all.

The "primary reasons behind it" about a movie on final approach are laughable nonsense. I'll call it racist as well for that matter - and ageist too towards Michael Keaton.

"Let's save money by not releasing something we poured tens of millions of dollars into!"

The "primary reasons behind it" about a movie on final approach are laughable horseshit. I'll call it racist as well for that matter - and ageist too towards Michael Keaton.
The New York Post article about it was pretty misogynistic. The decision to can it almost certainly was not.
