Spoilers Season 3 Trailer

Alternatively, maybe he's Colonel Worf? There is a precedent in Col. West from TUC for a colonel in Starfleet, and it was never explained how or why he was a colonel.
That would make him the second Colonel Worf in the franchise, with the first one being in TUC. There’s a good chance he may just be Acting Captain, in the same way Riker was Acting Captain in the S1 finale. They both have the same number of pips in the teaser, after all.

I wonder if there’s a chance he’s actually Councilman (Councilperson?) Worf here, since the AGT future suggested he’d be Governor of Hatoria by 2395, and we are at least several years removed from those events. Being an Ambassador to Qo’noS does position Worf for that role within Federation politics.

For some reason I'm really annoyed at Worf having such white hair. He's not even that old in terms of a Klingon. Although I think they got his facial makeup more realistic looking than it's ever been, for some reason they make him look like an exaggerated Kung Fu movie sifu. I haven't watched DS9 in a very long time But didn't that show the trio of TOS Klingons as very old but still having gray hair? Worf must've had a hard life post-Nemesis.

I feel like Worf looks a little too light-skinned, but it may just be a combination of the lighting and Michael Dorn himself being a little paler as he gets older.

I wish he still had his old, gappy moustache instead of this more "human" one (;)) but I'll get over it.

I'm still the only one not really hyped for season 3.

That said, everyone looks great, except for... WHAT did they do to Raffi?! If the clip/ emo makeup is any indication, she'll be joy personified... Can't they give her a break for once?

Same.

I would have preferred most of the original Picard crew stay around and be the focus of the show, with perhaps checking in on the old cast. Those short scenes with bad pseudo-philosophical statements didn't help.

Funny enough, the one I'd be most interested to see back would have been Miles, and Keiko of course.

ETA: Gates is a hoot.
ETA: Oh God, everything we jokingly predicted will come true, won't it? SPS: "People love telling prequels now..."

Worf doesn't work as a diplomat. As much as he LARPs as a proud Klingon warrior, Worf is Starfleet to his core. He can't help it, he was raised by Humans on a Federation world. As much as he loves the Klingon Empire, the Federation is his home. That's why he was already back in uniform aboard the Enterprise in Nemesis so soon after accepting the ambassadorship in What We Leave Behind.

TNG wasn't my favorite Star Trek series, and still isn't, but if I said I wasn't interested in seeing them 20+ years later, I'd be lying. I also went to my 20-year high school reunion in 2017. Mainly due to curiosity. It was about what I expected, but I'm still glad I went. I feel the same way about PIC Season 3.

At the very least, I expect to like PIC Season 3 more than three of the four TNG Films.

No, I'm not thrilled that they dropped most of the original PIC cast, but I figure they'll have another series set in the 25th Century to replace PIC, so we'll probably see them again; even if not in this series.

I too would like to see the O’Briens and Ro turn up. Could make a nice segue into a DS9 follow-up. (Prodigy is essentially a Voy one, and seven is here.) Worf could help with that.
We don’t see Spiner here, so maybe, just maybe, Data was only mostly dead again, and we will see him back… which could be used for a Bashir cameo (he’s an expert in positronic brains too remember, and has met Data before…) to set one up.

I won’t hold my breathe.
Crusher is clearly the big big focus this season.

I thought the preview was interesting .I would've like to see the O'Briens again too.

yeah, if they're bringing back all the rest of the TNG crew, where's O'Brien? :(

Is he considered more DS9 than TNG, and thus presumably off limits? That would be bad.
