Many shows are better than Picard.
42 here. While PRO does have elements which are obviously tailored for a teen and younger audience, there's plenty to grab the attention of adults to. Some of the more tragic parts really spoke to me and surprised me in their seriousness.
The scene on the murder planet where the Diviner choses the ship instead of helping Gwyn hit me unexpectedly. It was very well done. And of course the whole part with Gwyn catching a glance of Zero's true form.
And there's plenty of other intriguing stuff going on to easily keep an adult entertained. The complexity of the unfolding storyline is very promising.
