Section 31: I hope it still happens.

I'm looking forward to see how the Section 31 series is handled. And it would be nice to see Michelle Yeoh and Shazad Latif on the screen together, again. I liked their chemistry from Season 2 of "Discovery".

If the producers are still considering this they probably want to plan around pretty limited participation by Yeoh at this point. Her film career and opportunities continue to soar.

If they are still committed to the Section 31 idea, they should just make a film and treat it like a feature length episode, like how the 2-hour series premieres of Berman era Trek shows were treated. And depending on the reviews it gets, go on from there. It seems to be away to get around Yeoh’s film schedule too.

I can see Section 31 as something that could be both aired on P+ and re-aired in a 3 hour block with commercials over the summer/winter holiday break on CBS.

She just singed up for a new Netflix series, so S31 is looking less and less likely. You never know, though.

Hmm...to be honest, Section 31 is the series I have the least confidence in--at least with Michelle Yeoh as its lead. I always felt that Yeoh was a relatively big international star and was actually very surprised to see her initially in DIS. I dunno--I guess I thought there would be other film (and possibly now TV) projects that would prevent her from starring full-time in a Trek series.

I could see a Section 31 series in which Yeoh's Georgiou is prominent in the first episode or two, but then as the case with DIS, becomes more of a reoccurring character afterward, not appearing in every episode.

This can easily come across as a Nikita rip-off in space.

Bo Yeon Kim, one of the two supposed designated showrunners for Section 31 since January 2019, is now working as a "co-executive producer" on the Netflix show "Sweet Tooth".
