I didn't know humanoid babies grew to adults within minutes after birth and started attacking and killing everyone around them . It really opened my eyes. Yeah such a perfect metaphor for these modern times.:rommie:
A metaphor for baby conspiracy theories?
You fell for the, Oh my goodness, she's leaving the ship/show, hook? Sukker!
Naw, I've just been in love with her since 1968.

Hammer is a character now that lets be honest ....was just wasted. He reminds me of that cyborg (Airiam) character in discovery that died in season 2. Also why kill of the character that was one of the most diverse of the show. Hollywood sure love their fake diversity.
Do you not understand the concept of SPOILERS? Also, the background drone of bashing all the new shows really gets tiresome.

That's... not a lot. Gorn culture is still very much a blank slate. The fairest summary we can make is that there are at least two species of Gorn; that at least one faction is highly aggressive and treats aliens as prey and breeding stock; that it is unclear if that is the common behavior of most Gorn or to what extent Gorn are politically unified.
Exactly so. Much of the Gorn and their behavior is undefined, beyond aggression.

Given how often TOS violated it's own canon during the actual first run - sorry, nothing so far rises to the point of a 'soft reboot'. Hell, the Bridge in Where No Man Has Gone Before looks very different from the Bridge in the previous two episodes (as do the costumes) as it was the third episode broadcast - and they didn't even do a Starbase visit that we know of.

IE - If it's ALL taken 'as aired' there's nothing in SNW as presented that can't be reconciled with TOS via any further 'mental gymnastics' that it takes to reconcile all the internal TOS inconsistencies; especially since the events of TOS start 5 - 6 years (in Universe) from 'now'. ;)
I've got the feeling you think I want SNW to fit with TOS. I accept it as its own thing.

I like the show, but it's not my favorite. It's on the high end of "in the middle". Making it look like something from the '60s wouldn't change that.

Not really, STO will just adapt like They always do when something new appears.

Besides, having the Gorn be a multiple type of species matches perfectly with their description of being a Hegemony type of society/race.

All of them agreeing to coexist as one.

For all we know....something like the TNG episode Genesis where Worf went retrograde may have happened to this lot. Or they are the super-soldier variants of what we saw on Enterprise.

The kids must have gotten into the food storage lockers, because there's no way they could have grown so large so quickly without eating a lot in the meantime.

There are still a bunch of crewman bodies lying around to snack on.

There was time enough to say something along the lines of, "I see no alternative myself, Captain. It merely seems a pity."
I only wish these demon babies could've lived on to eviscerate other Federation citizens. ;__;

Oh, ten years from now an older and less emotionally labile Spock who hasn't just seen a couple of his crewmates ripped open - not to mention a few dozen other bodies strewn around the landscape - will utter some little homilies about such things. This Spock is not that guy.

He's a lot more interesting to watch right now, though.

The Gorn are known to take live subjects and use them as incubators/feed for their offspring. There was nothing approaching that level of danger from the Horta - at least not that anyone knew or suspected.

Not a bad episode.

Poor Hemmer.

I wonder when La'an will return?

Bet this is the last we see of the Gorn.

Not quite sure how to interpret the hug scene .Christine is realizing he is not like the human guys who need her sweet affection. Spock has something "inside " him. He almost hurts her. She should pay attention. He is not immune to her and he fears letting himself indulge in any feelings concerning her.
Vulcans are NOT naturally logical. I see so many fans insist that they are.
