I really enjoyed both No Way Home and Multiverse of Madness. Not sure if they are up there with the best of the MCU, but they're still pretty great.

Well, coming from a guy who thinks Nolan's pretentious pseudo-dialog is engaging I'll take that as a compliment.

I mean, all you can do is say variants of "Yawn" so we all know how this will go.
It’s not all I can do. It’s all the effort such posts deserve.

You don’t like something? Totally fine. Never have a problem with anyone not liking something.

That a piece of entertainment is not to YOUR liking is not a licence to suggest others who do like it are somehow defective in their judgments. It’s that kind of arrogant presumption that deserves no more than a yawn.

So, again, yawn.

More that you're incapable of it.

Tell that to the ones who think the MCU was apparently "The death of all cinema".

A tactic to draw in people who disliked the MCU and just liked the older Spider-Man stuff.

In reality, most people who like the MCU like the old Spidey-Movies and the other way around. It was an exciting and satisfying way to bridge a gap and after 2 decades at the cinema, Spidey is a character who deserves a bit of fan service.

I like all the Spider-Men. It was joyous to see Maguire, Garfield (a seriously underrated Parker IMO) and Holland together.

I don't get some people's hang up with fanservice. As if making a movie that satisfies the fan base is some sort of sin.
To me, fan service isn't "satisfying the fan base." I would hope the fan base would satisficed with a good story. Fan service comes across as a wink to the audience and says "See? We like this too."

Agreed. Most people I know who love the current MCU also liked the first two Spiderman movies with Maguire. Things got rocky after that and opinions vary with Garfields run, but I always thought they were good, but it was a reboot that came a little to soon. Watching his two films now I think they hold up very well. NWH was a nice cherry on top because it basically says" don't worry. Those other guys are still canon no matter how many times we recast the role."
