Eman Esfandi as Ezra! https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.ho...b7sbY_GnMbW1qtsPnb-R-Ak_35:161.90475463867188
I can't wait until we get the "Han's proctologist" series; let no mystery of the Star Wars universe go unplumbed.
Excellent! Glad it's finally confirmed that we'll find out what happened to Ezra. Still got my fingers crossed for Lars Mikkelsen reprising Thrawn but I expect that won't happen.
No surprise on Ezra bit happy for some news. I'm more excited for this one than Andor, but only for the main character.
Yeah, not surprised about Ezra, but nice to get confirmation. So that leaves Hera and Zeb as the only surviving Rebels characters who haven't been announced for Ahsoka yet.
We already know Hera (and Chopper and Ghost) are all set to appear, we just don't know who will be playing Hera yet.
I'm curious how this show is going to handle fans that come into it having only seen Mandalorian. My Dad, for example, doesn't watch (and has no interest in) the cartoons so while he's seen all the Star Wars live action shows he knows nothing about Rebels. It will be interesting to see how in depth the show goes in explaining characters like Ezra to viewers like him. I suppose it depends on how much screen time the characters get.
It should be easy. They will simply be shown as people from Ahosoka's past. People important to her that have now re-entered her life or she has to go find because she has been tasked to via the plot. It's not really all the different from any show when it is trying to create and develop backstory for it's main character or characters. While some fans will get a little extra appreciation at seeing someone or something from the cartoons it doesn't mean new people won't like the stuff and in fact if they like it enough it might even inspire them to go check out the cartoon and see what they missed.
Either a monologue on the subject or having a character that doesn't know anything about this to explain stuff to.
I imagine this cast reveal was meant for today during the LucasFilm section of D23 but it got out early. According to a leaker who got everything right about yesterday's D23 reveals, we'll be getting more cast announcements other than that.
Well, I've never heard of the guy they've cast as Ezra, but based on the picture in the article linked above, he does have the right look. I approve.
