Naomi Wildman is the Caretaker's child.
It's a Guy DNA test. That' s all you need to know.![]()
I'm going to ask how?
How would that be possible?
This makes about as much sense as warp 10 space iguanas. But since warp 10 space iguanas are, in fact, canon, I deem it acceptable. We know that Caretaker probed the entire crew and then he actually impregnated B'Elanna and Harry, to make a baby, to take over after him, and rear the Ocampa, like only he could trust his own child to do.
The entire point of the pilot was to get a crewman on Voyager knocked up with Caretaker splooge.
Then a couple months later, a pretty blonde crewman unveils her pregnancy.
Makes sense. And Paris was just using a souped-up shuttle if I recall. My thoughts with the Hyper Evolution affect of going Warp 10 / Infinite Speed is that you're going so fast that you encounter a special space or area of space that affects your genetics and causes the Hyper Evolution.
But since you're moving so fast, you have nearly no way of preventing yourself from passing through that special area of space.
The speed itself doesn't cause the wierd Hyper Evolution, IMO; it's some part of space that has a special property or radiation that would cause the funky Hyper Evolution.
Every other time we've seen somebody go faster, there usually isn't any problems with going fast in & of itself. There are plenty of weird areas of space that causes funky affects on the biologcal body. Given how fast you're going at Warp 10 / Infinity, avoiding those areas of space can be incredibly hard.
Even though Wildman's very lengthy pregnancy was explained in "FURY" (pretty much the only good thing about that episode, I have to say), considering that by the time she told Janeway she was pregnant, in "ELOGIUM", it was about 6 months after they left DS9, this is not as out there an idea as it first appears. At least until "FURY" establishes that The Doctor knew, and that time travel took place about a month after they were stranded in the DQ.
Remember, in Threshold.Makes sense. And Paris was just using a souped-up shuttle if I recall.
Maybe he went into the Mycelial network?
... It was a plot point in the last few episodes of the latest season. Mycelial network is our galaxy only. There might be other mycelial networks out there but the one accessed by the spore drive ends at the galactic barrier.I actually love the idea of the mycelial network and it wasn't just our galaxy I think it's mentioned it went everywhere. So maybe Paris was everywhere, in every place and time at that speed. Hey isn't there a fun movie called everything, everywhere all at once?
