I like it very much. I'm surprised bc I like this better than Discovery and better than Picard. Especially with Picard, as I'm a great fan of the legacy characters. I think it's bc the two are serialized whereas SNW is self-contained eps. which I seem to enjoy more.

I think the episodic constraint is a very good thing for storytelling. The attitude seems right --- fun and adventurous and asking ethical questions. Very pretty looking.

They did a swoop-in on a moving Enterprise that looked just like the camera work on TOS and that just seemed so neat to me.

I was quite annoyed when they moved it all to Paramount+........but I loved the crew and such from their short time on Discovery....I just had to see it, so I got on board Paramount+, and I love the show very much already, the show has a way more stable and how should one say it, a more natural flow and ease to it than most other trek in a long long time!

Really love the looks and the whole vibe....nothing is perfect(that would be so boring anyways) but these two episodes I just really liked.

I have it on cable with PVR so I'm just going to record each ep as it comes out and binge it again after the season finale. :) Drop by for a few episodes and some bourbon (or whatever Pike is supposed to be drinking.)

Two episodes in: I like it. Not quite great, but a lot of fun.

Yay so far from me. I like the feeling of TOS, and the characters are fun, but time will tell once they get a few more episodes in.

After watching two episodes and watching again the pilots of TNG, DS9, and Voyager, I can't give it a competitive "yay." But many of the ingredients are there for it to develop as the season goes on. So there's potential at least.

Meh. It is more closely related to modern Treks than TOS, aside from the unnecessary in-references. Watching it not as a Pike show but just as a self-contained future space show, it's not much improved. There's a kind of edgy, amateurish tone to it (not the production--in character). I was only drawn in by one character and their scenes.

I much prefer TOS and The Expanse as shows.

It's ok. Nothing mind-blowing..Remember, Disco had a good start but later just turned into a major dissapointment (for me=..Fingers crossed this iteration proves to be a bit more original..

It may not have a been a "great" start, I'll give you that..but it was, at least to me, intriguing enough to keep on watching it..

I found the pilot on Youtube last night and tried to watch it. About twenty minutes in, I fell asleep.

That's not a knock on the quality of the show, yesterday was my weekly visit to physical therapy and that always leaves me exhausted. The thing is though, all I remember about it is that I saw about half of it. I don't remember details.

    A re-watch is in order.

Except for visual Canon violations it is the most trek like trek since The Orville. They still use 20th and 21st century colorful language like "pissed off" though and phasers are still going to be the pew pew pew star wars variety.

It bored me. Also Burnham mutinies against her captain and starts a war. Yeah real good trek start
