Another abandoned potential Eternals connection was that there was talk of bringing Kit Harington in to appear as Dane Whitman. As there wasn't room in the story for him to kick ass as Black Knight, those plans were abandoned.

They also abandoned a snippet of dialogue that would have mentioned the Pharaoh Rama-Tut AKA Kang the Conqueror. They did however include a Rama-Tut Easter egg.

ETA: rumors of a Bruce Banner cameo were sparked by the fact that Mark Ruffalo was staying in the same hotel as the Moon Knight crew when they were both shooting separate projects in Budapest.

I can see why they'd dump those, it would lock them in to something that probably hasn't been nailed down yet. Dane would fit in perfectly with Moon Knight, I hope they nail it down. Maybe a Black Knight series? I'd love that, but no hints of one so far beyond the Eternals scenes.
I think we need a Black Knight series if they want to go anywhere with him. He's not that well known and he needs an introduction and a personality, especially if they're lining up Kit. Marketing-wise, they bring in Kit and they bring in his GOT fans, but most of them will need to know what's going on. It's not like they could throw him cold into a team-up.

Khonshu was never the hero of the story.
They're managing to come out with multiple movies and multiple TV show seasons every year.
Eternals implied a connection to Blade, which releases in November of next year.
Just the studio being cheap. Decades ago, I was an extra in the movie ...All the Marbles when they were shooting at the Olympic Auditorium in Los Angeles. It was an MGM film and the TV show, CHiPs, was shooting in the area, which was a MGM Television production. The cast and crew of CHiPs used the Olympic Auditorium's parking lot as a staging area for the cast trailers and meals since MGM was already renting the facility, including the parking lot.
One of my friends was a big CHiPs fan, so we had to drive around to find where they were shooting. We finally found them in a parking lot and the hood of his car (noticeable as a pale blue old police cruiser) made it into the program.
I just finished it. Is the name of the third personality one comic book fans would recognize as something?
I don’t have an issue with Kyonshu’s actions in the last scene. Avoiding Batman Syndrome of an unending cycle of psychopaths being spared and then killing more people.

Picking up on an earlier point - does anyone actually LIKE the Black Knight ?
I've always considered him one of the worst Marvel characters and am surprised to see him being pushed at all.
I haven't read much with him, but have no problem with him. I always liked the idea of a scientist getting a magic sword.
The Marvel Studios Assembled episode is up.
Another excellent episode of Assembled. I loved seeing how much passion the production team put into making Egypt, its culture, and its mythology as authentic and lively as possible, but I especially loved the care that they, especially Oscar Isaac, put into making sure disassociated identity disorder was presented respectively and compassionately.
One thing in particular stood out to me towards the end: "This is not a TV show. It's a movie on a larger canvas." I think Ethan Hawke highlights something very important here. The Disney+ MCU shows of the past year and a half have been redefining the medium by creating such cinematic shows. They have a show that has the breadth and scope of a film but have the time to go into greater details than most films. That's one of the many things that I've really loved about of these shows so far.
A pity we didn't get to hear from F. Murray Abraham about his thoughts on portraying Khonshu.
But I did love learning how the Scarlet Scarab wasn't part of the show's original intention but rather something that developed naturally as they explored Layla's character with more details.

Stuff with an actor talking with himself never works. Nobody wants to see that.
