Best part of the whole episode.
It was Laris, and I don’t think it was implied they’re the same character. Tallinn died in 2024, as Q mentioned she always does.
She mentioned something about going off on her own adventures. I didn’t get the feeling his words really changed anything but I could be wrong.
I seem to recall Orla Brady saying that she was not going to be in season 3, but I could be misremembering.
Nothing against the actress. She does a fine job with the role. But I hope she doesn’t come back. I want my Picard/Beverly endgame dammit!
Not only does Soong suck at password protection, he's clearly never heard of USB sticks!!
What the fleet was protecting the sector from was Q's death throes. The transwarp conduit to somewhere was the tail in the letter Q.

When the season 2 soundtrack was released last week, there was literally a track for the final episode called "The Travelers". The thought of Wesley did cross my mind at the time but thought "nah, it must mean something else".
I'm sure Wheaton even went to the effort of writing a blog post recently off the back of not being announced in the cast for season 3, and even talking about what he would imagine Wesley would be doing these days. Sneaky...

Gorgeous conclusion, just like season 1..! Season 1 was really about goodbyes, season 2 is about forgiveness. Beautiful themes..! There was so much I loved in this episode, I'd have to watch it again to name them all. But the Wesley scene, the Khan Project and Q saying goodbye are way up there..!
Of course some questions linger on... How did Soong travel from France to the US so quickly... Why did Q persuade Soong to interfere with the Europa Mission in the first place..? Was it because he wanted the redemption for Picard to unfold..? He was resonsible for the anti-time anomaly in All Good Things... ("I was the one that got you in to it"), so that would fit his profile...
All these quesions mean little when you consider all the beautiful things in this episode. I loved it!

I loved the first episode of this season and I loved the final episode of this season.
The scenes with Q were quite emotional for me.

The Project Khan file in Soong's possession was dated 1996... which tracks with the premise that Eugenic Wars occurred back then (not that they were about to happen).
So, with this in mind, Soong likely used that file to make the augments which his great great grandson raised and we saw on Star Trek: Enterprise in Season 4 (the show managed to maintain continuity here pretty well).

I liked the conclusion too.
I also liked Wesleys' appearance... so we know he's still a Traveller (and did not go back to SF as ST: Nemesis suggested).
It was also nice to see Q mellow out and behave 'gentler' (in a non pretentuous way).
I did, it was well worth it.

To me his appearance in NEMESIS was merely him returning for the occasion.
I'm sure he also kept in touch with his mother.
I think they stuck the landing.
Yes, the Will Wheaton cameo was pure fan service. I am still not sure how I feel about the big reveal that the Travelers are in charge of the Watchers from Assignment: Earth.
The finale had the right sentimentality and emotional payoff. Loved the farewell scene with Q. I do wonder why Q said he would die alone. Is the Q Continuum gone? It seems to imply that the entire Q Continuum is gone and Q was the last Q left. If so, that is pretty huge. I feel like we need more. You can't just gloss over that.
I think we all predicted Picard could cancel the autodestruct and trust the Borg Queen and that the Borg Queen would be Jurati. But the CGI on Borgati seemed way off to me. Her face just seemed like a poor photoshop. Interesting that it was all to help stop some massive energy spike. These nu-Borg seem to be on their way to some form of redemption now that they helped save billions. I wonder what this massive transwarp conduit is? Is something going to come through which will be the big villain of S3? I do like the idea that the massive energy explosion was the death of the Q Continuum and the resultant transwarp conduit is the after effect. We are left with questions.

Heh ... They ought to be able to get at least 4 or 5 follow-up books out of all of that.
