I could swear there was a split second scene where a third personality showed up watching both of them, though.
Not sure if the editing played tricks on me there or not.

I thought the unbalanced scale was going to be because of the third personality, and we'd finally get the big reveal, so I was a little surprised when that didn't happen.

Who says it didn't happen?

Go back to that first 'Doctor' Harrow scene. Somebody's sitting there, with a bandaged nose and a bloody, bruised face. Somebody who clearly doesn't have a clue what Harrow is talking about. Somebody who talks in a low raspy whisper, with an accent neither Marc's or Steven's. Somebody who was half a second away from burying that glass pyramid in Harrow's skull before he got sedated.

And Marc and Steven were busy talking to Tawaret.

Now, the next time we see Harrow, it is Marc. Unblemished, with only a vague sense that he'd been injected with something. But before that...

I'm like 85% sure it was Marc. The accent isn't that different from Marc's, and he corrects Harrow when he refers to Tawaret as a rhinoceros (and then says "these meds are really amazing" when it flashes back to Tawaret).

Speaking of I actually found Taweret... a little bit underwhelming at the beginning. Well-done CGI but I would have preferred a less, hmmm.... "Oh goody!" goddess?

Fortunately as we got into the drama we got to enjoy Oscar Isaac being brilliant more.

So is this actually what the comics are like now? I remember reading Moon Knight as a kid and he was an ex mercenary fighting an African warlord.

I found that refreshing in an otherwise very somber and sad episode. Who says that all gods have to talk in somber voices and have to be all brooding and serious?

I like her very much and had a big smile or laugh everytime her little ears wiggled

Now i'm actually very curious if Isaacs will get some award consideration, he absolutely kills it in this role and that should be recognized.

As to the finale - i have absolutely no idea where to go from here. Marc is still caught in this mental asylum delusion, the question of the third character is still open, how can Marc free Khonshu to get his Moon Knight powers back, is Steven gone for good and how the f.. can Harrow be stopped?

That's a lot of stuff for just one episode.

Probably the best episode of the series so far. Oscar Isaac needs to win all the awards for his performance. The writing and direction of the episode was great.
As I said in previous marvel show threads, what makes them stand above other comic book TV series is how the main character is dealing with some type of trauma in each one. This episode didn't have any Moon Knight in it but it was incredibly engaging. Rather than having a chat over coffee to sort someone's problems out (like in a CW show) they really explore what the main character is going through from their perspective. When they first started talking about doing Marvel TV shows this must have been one of their mission statements.

Definitely the best episode of the series so far. Isaac was very good in the dual role, it genuinely felt like they were different people.

That said looking forward to Moon Knight kicking arse in the final episode!

That's a lot of stuff for just one episode.

I have the same worry. As much as I loved this epsiode and Isaac's extraordinary performances, I feel like the epsiode didn't cover quite enough ground leading into the finale. Like you said, there are still a lot of moving parts to address and I worry that not all of them will be properly addressed by the end.

I would be less concerned if we knew there was going to be a second season (the Emmy filing makes it unlikely) or even knew where Moon Knight's story continues from here, although even if it's the latter, his story wouldn't be the main focus and probably wouldn't have enough space to do it justice.

I might find it refreshing if it wasn't for... the vast majority of Marvel content. As it was I was getting Doctor Who "it goes ding when there's stuff"/Judoon vibes.

But it's a personal quibble I know, and it was done well.

I really, really wish this was more than 6 episodes though. There's way too much meat for that to be enough episodes, and the Netflix length of 13 episodes would be much more satisfying for us to really dig into the characters, the mythology, and give Oscar Isaac even more time for his brilliant performance. I just don't see how we have enough time to give everything the time it deserves.

Technically Loki but it was clear pretty quickly that another season was coming. Even before it started it was unofficially confirmed.

The final episode will have the shortest runtime of any Marvel show at about 44-45 minutes, i just don't know how they can resolve all these hints and plot points in that time and not have it feel rushed or incomplete.

Around the time of WandaVision and Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Feige said it wasn't length, but budget and story. He figured $200 million was a good budget for each series, and however many episodes the story needed, as long as it was in that budget window.

Right now, I feel that this was my favourite MCU episode from all the series so far. Which is odd, because overall I have not been impressed with the series as a whole.
