Yeah, Fisher did turn out to be right in the end, but the way he went about it was not the best.
Not necessarily, May's character on 1883 is 17, and I've not watched Riverdale, but I believe the characters are supposed to be in high school, so they're in the age range to play teenagers. Most of the people playing teenagers in movies and on TV are in their 20s, and in the cases of some TVs shows are almost 30 by the time it's over.

The Arrowverse is one of my all time favorite franchises, and even at their lowest, I can usually still find something to to enjoy.
And RT is not always the best source for audience ratings:
Amazon ratings for the last seasons:
The Flash Season 7: 4 1/2 stars with 2,121 reviews
    Supergirl Season 6: 4 1/2 stars with 385 reviews
    Batwoman Season 2: 4 1/2 with 150 reviews
Legends of Tomorrow Season 7: 5 stars with 130 reviews
Black Lightning Season 4: 5 stars with 355 reviews
Superman & Lois Season 1: 5 stars with 1,562 reviews
So clearly not everyone hates them.

The first few seasons were in high school, but I gather they did a time jump forward to their adulthood sometime after I stopped watching.

Amazon ratings are always too high. Likely only fans rate them.. Those shows also have low ratings on IMDB. Now, is it because of anti-woke trolls? Maybe. I don't think its something that can be proven...

The only "rating" I care about is my own.

What you say about Amazon is probably true, but even if the reviews are one sided, it still proves my point, since there are clearly enough fans to get the ratings that high. I was just trying to show that there are a lot of people that do like the shows.
Oh OK, I didn't know that. I just checked and KJ Apa is 24 and Isabel May is 21, so that's still young enough for both of them to be playing older teenagers.

To an extent, I felt the same way. But I've grown to think that the only reason why action was taken was because Fisher persisted. If he hadn't it would have been "white washed" over, and I now believe that is what the execs were counting on. Good on Fisher. And I liked his performance. Hope he gets a career on smaller projects that pay the bills for him.

He was on True Detective pre-pendemic, he was in Women of the Movement on ABC this year, and Snyder put him in his upcoming Rebel Moon film, so he still gets work. Maybe not at WB (at least, until Hamada is gone, which could be any day now), but there are obviously still people in the right places willing to hire him.
Probably doesn't hurt that his performance in the Snyder Cut was pretty damned good.

I watched that season of True Detective and really really liked it. Didn't realize it was the same actor until now.

Fisher was mainly a Theater Actor before Justice League, so he always has that.

Unfortunately for him most of them are called Zack Snyder.

Two out of the three post-JL credits of Fisher's, including that ABC miniseries from earlier this year, were projects without Snyder's involvement.

Which would not be a bad association since Fisher shined in the Snyder Cut, and was something so rare in superhero movies of this age: a sympathetic, truly human character (perfec considering who he portrayed).

Has WB/DC?DIS revealed their solutions to Captain Marvel*'s clans names (Mary Marvel, & Captain Marvel Jr.)?

*The characters name is not SHAZAM!, it's the acronym for Solomon, Hercules, Atlas, Zeus, Achilles, & Mercury which is spoken by Billy Batson before transforming into that comic book icon.

I think they're all just "Shazam" now. Though there is a Mary Marvel from Earth 5 who's a member of a multiversal Justice League.

I think the popularity of the MCU has killed any return to the Captain Marvel name for a while to come.

I'm not happy with that either.

They should have rebranded as "Captain Thunder" decades ago. It was the original name of the character.

Captain Thunder sounds like a character with severe flatulence

I made a post about this earlier this year. I’ll share it here.

Ah! The age old dispute between Marvel and DC regarding the name Captain Marvel. To put a long story short. National Comics (DC before renaming itself) sued Fawcett comics in the 50s. They claimed that Billy Baston/Captain Marvel was a clone of Superman. He is, but that's cloning an archetype. A series of trials and appeals saw Fawcett winning, but court is expensive. So to settle things, Fawcett agreed to pay damages and stopped publishing comics. This left the original character in limbo. In 1967, Marvel and Stan Lee trademarked the name "Captain Marvel" and started printing their own character. Mar-Vell from the Kree Empire. He had a lot success and was very popular. In 1972, DC bought out Fawcett and gained the rights to their characters but couldn't sell books under the title Captain Marvel.

They could call the character Captain Marvel. However since Marvel Comics owned the trademark, DC would be in legal hot water if Marvel pressed the issue. It's why Billy and his family got so little exposure at DC for decades. Changing the name to Shazam sidesteps the legal issue. As Marvel has been more aggressive about protecting the trademark of Captain Marvel. As they try to make Carol the female face of their brand. Carol becoming Captain Marvel in 2012 during Marvel’s “Marvel Now” relaunch. Like DC’s New 52 which launched in late 2011. Marvel Now was a jumping on point for new readers.
