DC Movies - To Infinity and Beyond

The problem, to me, isn't his crusade against Whedon, but his trying to take down President of DC film production Walter Hamada, and Geoff Johns. While perhaps well intentioned, that is some career suicide. Why would Warners, or other big studios, want to hire someone they consider a loose cannon?

I was kind of half referring to that but also half asking if there wasn't anything else I was unaware of (or if maybe the *other* Cyborg had done something I never heard about).

But if all we're talking about is his anger about what went down around BvS and JL, then - while I agree some of his choices were potentially bad for his career and some of his presentation was odd to say the least - all he actually did was call out very bad behavior in the company. That's really not even a bad thing at all, let alone being in any way comparable to repeatedly committing assault. So while I'm sure Hamada and others were unhappy with him, I see no reason why anyone in the audience or among the fans should be. And certainly nothing that could be considered to cast some kind of guilt on the casting director just for having hired him.

I suspect @Grendelsbayne was making the point point that Fisher was ultimately vindicated by the investigation into Joss Whedon and the downfall of the latter.

I personally was unaware of the Cavill/deaf person incident though

I didn't know about and I looked up the issue and it was reported in 2014. Since then he hasn't done anything wrong/got into trouble with the law at all. So I think the matter is a nonissue/not worth it.

Right now people are on Cavills side because he's getting the short end of the stick and possibly getting kicked out for a new Superman

Ironic, seeing how Hamada would have gotten the boot anyways due to the restructuring. Feels like Fisher may have given himself a bad reputation for nothing in that regard.

The last two I tried watching, Superman & Lois and Peacemaker, I barely made it through one episode before turning them off. The guy playing Superman didn't work for me

Yes, his being cast in the role (on Supergirl) was not exactly a winner in performance or appearance.

and I'm not interested in a "father knows best" show. Peacemaker was so juvenile and stupid that I couldn't believe a studio greenlit that garbage. I'm fine with keeping those shows separate from the movies.

Same here. No one drags an inferior production to stand next to the defining, high quality end of its comic-based films. The Berlanti series are often (and rightfully) disregarded and notoriously lowballed in so many categories (story above all else) that the DCEU and CW are essentially speaking two different languages in every category imaginable.

Peacemaker is a direct spinoff of the DCEU, specifically James Gunn's The Suicide Squad.

Or, if you go by reviews, they are both mostly crap :)

Are you joking? RT scores
MOS 56%
BVS 29%
Justice League 39%
WW84 58%
Aquaman 65% (best of the bunch...)

Berlanti audience ratings:
Batwoman 23%
Supergirl 46%
Flash 65%
Black Lightning 51%

When it comes to determining quality, Rotten Tomatoes scores are as useful as a dowsing rod in Death Valley.

Nice try, though.

Maybe he felt some things were more important than his reputation.

And i'm not sure why people put Fisher in the same category as Ezra Miller. Fisher wasn't arrested for anything. He was just outspoken about things.

If people were reasonable, it would be the rest of the JL cast that looks bad, not Fisher. Turns out they all had issues with Joss and he is the only one who spoke up. Eventually, more crap came up about Whedon and he got canceled, so Fisher was right all along.

Screaming lunatics are capable of being correct while still being screaming lunatics.
Conversely, some of the attacks, like color-correcting film, was just plain out there.

But whatever, he's done and so are half of the JL it seems, so we'll move forward with the new actors and characters DC/WB has planned. With a few nice carryovers.
