DC Movies - To Infinity and Beyond

The jaw-dropping level of poor quality across most of the series from Berlanti and his cohorts speaks to the belief that making good (or better) DC series that take the best from the source was never their primary concern, which is why few regard those series as legitimate DC, and to this date have never considered them even tangentially connected to the DCEU movies.
The last two I tried watching, Superman & Lois and Peacemaker, I barely made it through one episode before turning them off. The guy playing Superman didn't work for me and I'm not interested in a "father knows best" show. Peacemaker was so juvenile and stupid that I couldn't believe a studio greenlit that garbage. I'm fine with keeping those shows separate from the movies.

Peacemaker has both high critical and user reviews, so this is just you having an issue. The show itself is great. Also its not made by Berlanti. Berlanti shows really are mostly crap, though I enjoyed them at first. They overstayed their welcome. S&L is very overrated.

Yeah, you're on your own for this, Peacemaker is without a doubt my favourite (modern) live action DC project yet. Though I did expect to hate it as I didn't care much for The Suicide Squad.

I don't think this has been mentioned on here yet, KJ Apa and Isabel May have been cast as the Zan & Jayna in Wonder Twins. Apa is best known for play Archie in Riverdale, and May is best known for playing Veronica Duncan in Young Sheldon, and Elsa Dutton on 1883.
I haven't seen Apa in Riverdale, but I have seen May in both Young Sheldon and 1883, and she was good in Young Sheldon, and has been phenomenal in 1883.

So...no teen Wonder Twins? Dangit. Wonder Twins 90210?

Not that it’s likely to happen, but Nic Cage would still be game to play Superman (who knows with all these multiverses etc): https://www.rollingstone.com/movies...ight-of-massive-talent-interview-1335766/amp/

Teen Titans Go to the Movies didn't scratch his itch?

I haven't seen Peacemaker yet, but I'm quite enjoying Superman & Lois.

Man, I would not want to be an accountant for Warner Brothers right now. How many financial body blows can a movie studio take?

Academy- Emergency meeting to talk about Will Smith

WB- Emergency meeting to talk about Ezra Miller

WB- Major jobs cut and reorganized due to merger

What a rollercoaster of a ride for Hollywood execs and PR people these past few months

I really don't see what the issue with Smith is. I mean the Academy had no problems maintaining connections with Woody Allen, Roman Polanski and Russel Crowe.

Is it because he did it on Live TV, that's the deciding factor here?

EDIT: Yes, the Academy finally expelled Roman Polanski...30 years after he committed his crime.

He committed what could be seen as assault and battery during the second most watched TV broadcast of the year... You don't see how that's a big deal? Had he done literally the same slap at the afterparty the reaction would be totally different.

Oh for crying out loud...

"Ezra Miller has reportedly been arrested a second time outside of Hawaii, just hours before their scheduled court appearance regarding disorderly conduct and harassment charges."

God damn it Butters.

I wonder if he hated the Snyder part or the Whedon part of the shoot... or maybe both, but he did choose to come back to film the prologue of Snyder Cut...
I think everyone hated the Whedon part and they all respect Snyder. Visually Ben looks very different in the Whedon cut, that was when he was going through difficult times. If Snyder was ever brought back into the fold I imagine we would see Ben as Batman again.

It's the ten police calls about him between last time and this time that gets me.

Pretty sure his contract stipulates not to make an ass of himself, so I'm guessing he's definitely done in the role this time.

Hope he gets his shit together.

Not quite the same thing as raping a 13 year old and refusing to own up to it. Or actually assaulting someone with something and getting arrested. Or marrying his stepdaughter...

Only difference is he did his thing on TV.

Ezra Miller pleads no contest to harassment charges

In case some are wondering why the judge refers to them as 'Mx Miller', it's how you address people in the same way you would say "mr" or "mrs" only you're of mixed genders.

So happy Gal Gadot seems to be such a class act, carrying the weight of the image of the Justice League on her shoulders.

First Superman gets into a thing with a deaf guy, then Cyborg goes bananas, now Flash is up to all of this (plus the strange rants he's been doing on social media). They need a better casting process at WB.

How did Cyborg go bananas?
