never mind the majority of border patrol officers are Hispanic
There are always some people willing to betray their communities for the benefits of serving the oppressors.

Wait a second. To clarify:

You want that US citizens of Hispanic ethnicity are more loyal to their ethnic group than to their country?

"betray"

Are you accusing US citizens of Hispanic ethnicity that work for the border patrol as "race traitors"?

"oppressors"

Who? The border patrol or the entire US government?
In any case, this is laughable.

You know, if you're gonna start playing ridiculous word games you could at least try for clever word games. No, I want a world where Latinos would never have to chose between their communities and their country because their country would never try to oppress their communities. But in the real world, the U.S. acts to brutalize and oppress Latino immigrants because of their ethnicity all the time.

It is, indeed, a betrayal to work for the regime that brutalizes Latinos and immigrants.

In any case, this is laughable.

Only if you choose to ignore the mountains of documentation about racist abuses by the U.S. immigration system.

Regardless, Picard is currently in confederation Picard's body so he is biologically the confederation last Picard and not the Federation Last Picard, so if he made a baby before he gets back to his own time, it's not his kid.
Irrelevant: the point of confederation Picard is that he’s in fact _our\l_ Picard, he just had a different life.
Although I feel like Confederation Picard has children strewn across the Galaxy and any talk about a last Picard is fanciful.
just because one is a dictator doesn’t mean he’s necessarily a womaniser/serial sex offender.

He said that he was raped a lot when he was younger, by Reeman woman.
I don’t think you saw the same version of nemesis I’ve seen.

It's what I remember, but I don't think it happened.

Confederation Picard is a rockstar.

JLP does stadium events where he executes the enemies of the Confederation to the throng of a blood thirsty crowd of thousands.

Rockstars have groupies.

so I beam over a MRI scanner and you know how to use it?
or a ultrasonic scanner or a laser scalpel.

pssst.. it takes at least 6 months training to use it.
Raffi didn't beam over an MRI scanner. She beamed over a handheld device with a very simple trigger operation. All Theresa had to do was point it in the right direction and press the button. Anyone could have used it. Raffi provided it really quickly, too, like it was in the 24th century version of a first aid kit - and first aid kits, let me remind you, are designed to be used by anyone, whether trained or not.
Merlin is really good and the characters are likable charming and someone you can identify with. The women look like women and are attractive and strong without being woke.

The Men are Men without being effeminate and woke. The writers know to write each episode with an over reaching story arc.

I urge everyone to watch it on free iplayer and you will surprised at how good the STORY TELLING is.
Merlin? Merlin? Okay, you do know that Merlin was created as teatime entertainment for kids? It's fun to watch, sure - and yeah, you're right, it's episodic, it was designed that way just as Picard was designed as a serial - but it isn't good. It certainly isn't prestige primetime drama. Comparing it to Picard is like comparing apples and oranges. There is no comparison because they aren't in the same category. Two completely different things. (Also, Merlin is, quite objectively, not better than Picard)

$10000 per director times 40 = 4 million down the drain. That is a lot of money being wasted.
I think you're pulling that figure out from where the sun don't shine. Regardless you might want to brush up on basic math. Using your own numbers, 40 X $10,000 = $400,000 not $4million.

Regardless, it's their money to spend and they obviously think it's a worthwhile expense.

I thought the mod gig kept you in champagne and bon-bons year round?

Well, of course. But have you seen gas prices lately? That private jet isn't going to fuel itself, you know.

I of course exaggerate for comedic effect. :) It's actually a good gig (with the occasional major headache, just like any job), with some great co-workers. But it's also volunteer, so I'm on my own for champagne and bon-bons... ;)

The kid thing might actually be answered, just not exactly in the way people seem to like to speculate about here (I have very little to say other than “I love Jean-Luc the way he is and I would discuss those details with him in private because keeping this private seems like something he would appreciate”.)

Remember that “Illuminerdi” website that leaked some character sheets for SNW and PIC? I checked their leak for PIC season 2 yesterday and EVERY SINGLE character description turned out to be accurate. (Same goes for their SNW character sheet btw.) They seem to be the real deal, at least in this regard. And they announced a son Jean-Luc didn’t know he has for season 3. IIRC they described him as a guy in his early 20s who is caught up in a galaxy-wide conspiracy and who needs to find out who he really is.

This plays in nicely with what we know so far about season 3, what with it “shaking up the Trek universe” and Sir Patrick saying that Jean-Luc is still facing his fears in season 3 (a son would sure shake up everything even MORE for him). Also, it would be another TOS movie callback (David Marcus, anyone), which is yet another theme they’ll be going for. So, like I said, the kid question might get an answer. And maybe even a reference as to whether he can now still have kids or not. :)

Oh dear, they already did that story in season seven of TNG and it was one heck of a boring ass episode.

I’m not very fond of the idea either, but by now I’ve kinda gotten used to the fact that the writers seem to have chosen to ignore the fact that Jean-Luc was married and raised two kids (just because “Inner Light” wasn’t real to the audience doesn’t mean it wasn’t real to him), so, the next logical step in his quest of learning to let other people close is to have a son he never knew about and now has to get to know and let close (it would still be different than TNG because Jason Vigo wasn’t his son after all and he didn’t get much of a chance to truly interact with him).

This would also perhaps tie in with the TNG crew presence - if something happens to said son, Jean-Luc would not turn to Starfleet for help… he would turn to old friends.

PreRobot, Jean-Luc's Mechanical Heart.

(Did JLP snigger when he met Tinman?)

Odds are there was a special setting to his artificial heart, when he needed it, that he could send a pint of blood immediately and quickly dickwardly.

One might wonder if a young man who is careless with this feature if his penis might explode 3 times a year and need replacing?

Also... If this was a thing... Hacking Locutus' heart remotely might have been a good way to incapacitate the Borg King during the Battle of Wolf 357?

I strongly suggest you find things to post about other than genitalia.

Quite frankly, with remote control over Locutus' heart, they could have given him a stroke.

But strokes are not funny.

Some of those numbers in there are not correct.
Homeland Security is the umbrella covering over 20 different agencies that used to be someone else's problem.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Department_of_Homeland_Security

If they wanted to make one of these Agencies, like the Coast Guard, the Secret Service or FEMA %100 Latino, they probably could, and it would be hilarious.
