I don't think she was supposed to play a criminal mastermind tech genius. I think the promo made her out to be more dangerous than she actually was in the episode. In fact, I'm pretty sure this is the headline they ripped the story from..Frankly, I would've led with this episode instead of throwing the Carey Lowell element into the first episode. It just seemed like overload for an opener.
