Series finale ends with the 29th century timecops starting to clean up the two Janeway's mess.

If they could have played around with the format more I’d have more shows about Voyager from the perspective of the aliens. I always liked that whenever they did it. Should they let this starship fly through their space or not? Maybe…I can’t believe I’m going to suggest this…even a clip-show(!) of an alien council meeting where different parties are making their case. Maybe even like a council of Voth bringing in aliens from throughout the series to see the overall effect the ship has had on the area and whether or not they should apprehend it.

Maybe we don’t even see new footage of the crew until the next episode when the baddies come after us. Or not at all when they decide not to. It could even be a two-parter leading into a third with our crew. The first two episodes you see and hear all about how the quadrant is changed for Voyager’s involvement.

It was recently speculated that Kirk had a few Cerritos equivalents following him around and cleaning up his assorted messes. Maybe Janeway and her crew have a bunch of similar vessels assigned to them, undoing all the grandmother paradoxes she's created.

That's a cool idea. I love Distant Origin. Yes, the science is a little bit dodgy, but DINOSAURS and I love Chakotay's speech. Clip-shows can be really good, like Stargate's "Citizen Joe".

I really hope there were some Cerritos equivalents following Kirk. Otherwise things would have ended very badly for the people in The Apple.

Those women in "Spock's Brain" wouldn't have fared to well either. I think that if you rounded up a random selection of females from modern times, took away their smartphones and microwaves and cars and made them live like cavemen... well, some would survive. But probably not very many.

In my head that's what those Franz Joseph single-nacelled ships were doing.

Have Kes rejoin the series after 'Fury'.

A related note: it's a shame her non-corporeal state was never talked about. Doesn't make much sense as to why she returned, despite the reason given. Ah, that episode is a mess. Still enjoyable though.

Which is why 'Distant Origin' is such a great episode.

    Maybe minus Chakotay's "theory"...

I thought it was Gegen's theory, and Chakotay just filled in some pieces of Earth history.

I'd just make it in HD and 16:9 format.
    That would have been perfect.

We needed some explanation how the "silver blood" duplicates created the whole ship and the doctor. And then went into space,

In "DEMON", the silver blood pools were starting to sink the real ship. I think after a short time, that pool formed into Voyager. The Doctor, as a program within it, can easily have been created since the ship and its database were.

The only question is where they got the initial antimatter to get off the world and go to warp.

Getting back to Kirk and his Cerritos equivalents, I wonder if they also periodically bring in a fresh supply of red-shirted ensigns. The Enterprise seems to go through them like most ships go through dilithium.

I'm sure it was mentioned but the thing that bugged me most about the show was the ending, I just wish we got to see the homecoming ceremony and debriefing and not the alternate future one, I do not really count that.

It has been mentioned, and often, because that ending was decidedly appalling, and for exactly the reasons you gave. Aside from DS9, has any Trek series had both a good premiere and a good finale?

Welcome aboard, by the way. ;)

I wonder if they wanted Endgame to finish with Janeway saying "Set a course for home." to mirror the end of Caretaker and didn't think about how that left quite a few loose threads.

That's why I like my idea, where Voyager gets home in the second to last episode, and Janeway can say that. The last episode wraps things up properly.

“Beyond the Farthest Star” and “The Counter-Clock Incident” were both good, as Saturday morning cartoons go.

And if movie series count, TMP and TUC were both very good.

Generally what I would have done is close all the loopholes. I would make the episodes connected so it didn't feel like they were all seperate from each other. Raise the stakes, have more character deaths to show the reality of the situation. I would remove the Borg and Species 8472 from it, and remove Starfleet from the equation until the later end. I would have had the crew abandon the Prime Directive and have had to do some morally grey things to get back home in a greater context.
