Spoilers The Strange New Worlds Starship Thread™

I changed my mind, the impulse deck is the same as the Enterprises, you can see the engines here

it does have the indentation on the bottom of the primary hull.
Again I think it's just an optical illusion with the lighting and dark stripe that is on the bottom. You can see the same dark patch all the way around the rim. Unless the light source is coming from every direction you would only see the shading on one side.

But we'll have to wait and see when the episode (or another trailer) releases.

Be kinda cool if that's the USS Constitution. Would kind of explain why we havent seen her :)

That's my theory as well.

I really think you need to take a closer look at the crashed ship, it does have the indentation on the bottom of the primary hull.

And I didn't infer that you said that it was the Enterprise, I was just pointing out that it probably wasn't.

BTW: I agree that the SNW Enterprise doesn't seem to have the same indentation.

That shuttlecraft is huge inside!

I love it.

So would I. But I doubt that will happen because CBS doesn't want their audience to be confused as to which universe the show takes place in.
They just need to add a line or two of dialogue and all confusion will be gone:

Pike "It's the USS Kelvin, one of the older ships in our Prime Universe fleet. It's been over 25 years now since that time it wasn't destroyed."
Spock "That would mean that we have reached the year where you don't get killed by Khan shooting a phaser through a window at Starfleet Headquarters."
Pike "Indeed Mr Peck. I'm glad that you're my science officer and not James Kirk's."

I don't like what they've done to the windows on the Enterprise's saucer rim. And seemingly those conference room windows at the front aren't conference rooms windows anymore because there's no space for a room there with a row of windows on top. Unless they're doing a TNG Ten Forward/Picard's ready room again.

The Enterprise looks old and beat up in that pic.
It also doesn't appear to have the cutout in the pylons?
(there's no light shining through)

Perhaps it's not the Enterprise?

Could it be the crashed ship we saw in the earlier trailer?

What are the odds that They would do a story about the original series U.S.S. Defiant actually returning from the mirror universe? :wtf:

The Defiant was modified, so it no longer looks like a standard Constitution class ship.

But yes, it could definitely be a different ship than the Enterprise.

My memory isn't what it use to be, did we actually see that on screen?
I'm assuming you are referring to a DISCOVERY season 2 episode?
