Everyone is equally f'd up in this time-line, but Damn Rios role in the Confederation is leading a starfighter fleet to hunt and eradicate all Vulcans.





His mission team drops WMDs on Vulcan!

While I liked Jurati's surprising sass, when she first came on board the Stagazer drunk, and especially her hysterical sarcastic curtsy and "may I" to Rios, as she on-point took over his ships ops.
This has quickly shifted as it becomes more about their personal (apparently disastrous) relationship.

Banter between him and Jurati already annoying.
I hope they drop that shtick fast.

And that they have better use for him, than some lame melodrama between them...

Seriously, though, I love both of their characters and I'm very curious to see where the writers are taking their relationship.

Teresa (Sol Rodriguez)





The Rios and Teresa's narrative set-up is definitely giving me some parallel ST OS City on the Edge of Forever vibes.
Where the crew go back in time, and Kirk falls for Edith Keeler(Joan Collins), who similar to Teresa is a charitable worker, aids the poor and destitute, is somewhat activist in the face of a totalitarian power, working with and hiding refugees.
And she develops a romantic relationship with the Captain, definite parallels and similar chemistry here, between Rios and Teresa

Although in TOS Kirk is forced to make a choice and knowingly let Edith die, otherwise causing a butterfly-effect where the Nazis would win World War II, drastically effecting future events.
As before, La Sirena's crew have already been warned they better not change or effect anything. (other than what they set out to "fix")

Does this mean we'll get a similarly tragic choice or end for Rios and Teresa?
Will they flip it?
Curious if/how closely Rios and Teresa's fates play out, I imagine they will put a somewhat different twist on their ending.

 

Marty McFly and Doc Brown stumbled upon themselves in the past. Sulu met a relative in the past (novel-only). Mulgrew played a Janeway relative.

As to Rios: I don't know if Agnes rushes in to smash any romantic involvements. As for now, she is preoccupied with the Borg Queen. And there is one thing for sure: not even Q would date the Borg Queen. Rios, on the other hand.....

 

She seems to be on the ship..
So I guess a Gillian/Kirk where shes taken back?

 

I really like what they've done with Chris Rios story arc so far .

 

I just hope that Rios doesn't accidentally pulling a Phillip J Fry by doing the nasty in the pasty.

 

Could be, though she's likley more needed in her own time line.
Ship was grounded, if they haven't left yet, could also be she's on board to say adios! too.

Rios told the cop his whole story, knowing he would be considered completely nuts.

 

What about Gillian Taylor?

 

Taking the Doc with im into the future? Jurati might be jealous....

 

i wonder if Gillian died in the unaltered future.

 

She'll evolve.

 

She'll assimilate ... connect ... etc. haha. Her loneliness will be negated by her newfound confidence and connection ... to the Borg. That will leave space for Rios to bring back the Doc, as we've already seen her mariposa relief supplies in the "good" future La Sirena.

Also, just want folks to know how much I like Rios. A sweetie-pie rebel; the best kind of person.

 

I was more referring to evolving as a human as 24th/25th century humans are supposedly so evolved. Though, even Riker pouted over Troi getting married to another guy. Maybe that only applies to death...hmmmm.

 

Ah, I get you. Of course, even with different norms and mores, they probably still struggle, just as we today carry around 19th-century baggage. But yes, I think it's a non-conflict. Agnes is finding herself. As she should, she's excellent!

 

At least Rios would get the chance to show her what a Ferengi is...

This time instead of the Admonition, she can blame it on being merged with the Borg Queen.

 

Well. Creating a bunch of Quark-and-Rom lookalike holograms like Rios has up his sleeves is Quark's method of avoiding another face-off with
