He was an idiot.
I flat out ignore characters kissing in fiction. I imagine COVID impacted filming in this regard, but I honestly couldn't tell you.I dunno if it was COVID or not, but did anyone kiss their significant others at all this season?
I know that Gray and Adira never kissed (which is idiotic, considering I would think that would be the first thing I would want to do once my SO had a body again). And Saru and T'Rina never moved beyond handholding. But did Michael ever kiss Book? Did Stamets and Culber ever kiss?
Why?I flat out ignore characters kissing in fiction
It's irrelevant to the story.Why?
It's irrelevant to the story.
I disagree. In TV nothing comes across as more fake than a TV kiss.I know we've been through this before, but I maintain since TV is a visual medium, public displays of affection are more powerful than having two characters talk about how fond they are of one another.

I can't think of a single good one. So, again, mileage will vary. The purpose of a visual medium is to communicate about characters and kissing is a poor communication in this medium.Depends upon the actors, and the chemistry. I've seen good and bad TV kisses.
Geez, have fun! Enjoy life!I flat out ignore characters kissing in fiction.
How is this not enjoying life?Geez, have fun! Enjoy life!
Not to be rude, but no kidding. There's multiple facets of the human condition I do in real life I don't want to watch.one would to stand to gather that kissing is an important part of the human condition.
Yup.Not to be rude, but kinda like I said: To each his own.
I don't mind a fake kiss. Otherwise TV episodes would have to stop for minutes and minutes and minutes while we watch French Kissing. That and the fact that most of the actors have spouses or partners who probably wouldn't appreciate them making it look too real or putting a little too much effort into it.I disagree. Sadly, any kissing pretty much takes me out of the story because of the reasons you list. It's just flat out uncomfortable for me. Even if it was French kissing it would be unbelievable.I don't mind a fake kiss. Otherwise TV episodes would have to stop for minutes and minutes and minutes while we watch French Kissing. Got to suspend disbelief to keep things moving and also not upset the real life relationships these actors are in.
