I liked this episode quite a bit. It does make one wonder what the other high power entities like the Organians were doing during it, much like in the Mirror universe, but maybe their intervention in Errand of Mercy was the true outlier.

You can bet a high ranking security officer knows full well, who the Q are. Especially this Q.
However they don’t really show their face very often.
And only a couple of ships/stations outside the Enterprise had active contact.
They are probably thought of as near legend entities by most.
I could be remembering wrong, but isn't there a line in Voyager or DS9 where it's mentioned that Starfleet commanders/captains are briefed on Q and his shenanigans?

In a weird way, I wanted to see Kate Mulgrew as the magistrate. Seeing Janeway would have been another mindfuck for Seven and it would've been great to see Mulgrew chew the scenery like she did in "Living Witness."
that would have been really cool.

Speaking of the magistrate, I didn't understand how his marriage to Seven worked. It seemed loveless, with no passion.
Probably an arranged marriage. I’m more surprised they didn’t have an heir.
But if this is an actual marriage in these worlds where everyone is killing each other to gain power work?
this is not the mirror universe.

Yeah. This timeline is far less melodramatic and inept. That's the part which sets me on edge. This could actually happen someday. The MU just wouldn't work at all.
exactly. And this makes it much more scarier.

dodnt the character played by wil Weaton become a watcher in the TNG finale
a traveler.

Didn’t Sisco retire from star fleet and go to the timeline 2024 as a revolutionary ?
no. He only part-timed as a revolutionary for a few days.

For those who have the "Audio Description" track - there are background lines missing in the opening that support Q's statement that the planet was being kept alive on 'life support'. (Some reviewers misinterpreted the opening as people attacking the Earth and it was a shield to protect from outward threats - it may still be, but the primary purpose is for pollution control.)

Strangely, the subs are not on the Amazon Prime release, but are on the Paramount+ release - however the audio isn't on the primary track. The missing audio is on the "Audio Description" track.

Anyway, here it is transcribed if you don't have access. I'm not sure why the woman's announcement didn't make the final track, it seems like it was an omission.

(Sorry, still new here... but this formatting seemed to be a way to put it?)

Code:
[Narrator: In space, the view tilts down from the stars revealing Earth - a
glowing hexagonal grid covers the atmosphere. The grid lights up pushing
clouds of brown pollution aside.]

[siren wailing] [phasers blasting]

Woman's announcement: "Atmospheric sweepers coming online."

[siren continues] [blasting continues]

[Narrator: The view descends through a clear spot in the smog.]
Woman's announcement: "Particle pollution down to 23% in upper troposphere."

[siren continues wailing]

[Narrator: At the chateau, Picard and Q enter the courtyard...
Picard squints at the sky.]
Picard: "What is this?"

No he isn't. The Fan Fiction section is further down the forum.

SARAH: You are the Sisko. You are part of me.
SISKO: If that's true, if you really do care about me, if you consider me your son, then let me have this.
SARAH: It is not for you to have. There are many tasks still ahead of you. Accept your fate. Your greatest trial is about to begin. Don't be afraid.
(She touches his face.)
SARAH: All will be as it should be.
SISKO: Mother.
SARAH: Stay on the path, Benjamin.

"You are part of me".

His present is her history.

They are the same person.

I don’t think you need to know how to do something to ban it.

The outer space treaty bans war on the moon and was signed before anyone had even landed on it.

I don’t know how to hack a Goverment computer, still against the law for me to do it.
Totalitarian regimes probably specialise in banning things they don’t know how to do.
You three seem to be missing the fact that Time Travel means there's no difference.

Meaning to ban Time Travel in the 31st/32nd centuries they would have to ban time travel across all of time.

Because otherwise it's not a ban, it's sticking your head in the sand and pretending something doesn't exist like an idiot.

Banning time travel in the 30th century means you can only ban it from that point forward. There’s no way to enforce it in the past if you’re not allowed to time travel. Also your existence up until that point rests on time travel that’s already happened.
