I'm halfway through "The Eternals". I've managed to avoid spoilers, so based on the info given so far I'm going to make a prediction about how the movie ends.

Sersi will use her transmutation powers to make a giant air filled hole down to the center of the earth, from the middle of the Ocean, or other suitably uninhabited place, to let the Celestial out, without blowing up the planet. Then she will transmute it back closed again.

From what I understand in countries outside the US they have Star which is a separate tier within the Disney Plus interface similar to how Amazon Prime has subchannels that can be subscribed with a fee. Here in the US, Hulu is where such programs end up, Hulu has a separate login and payment and is a completely different app to access so there is no content crossover at all with Disney Plus and you subscribe to and access Hulu completely independently of D+.

As such, in the US, D+ carries no content that rates above a TV-14 (as nebulous as that can be). Famously, they have digitally censored Daryl Hannah's butt from Splash on D+ as well as the f-bombs from Adventures in Babysitting.

Star is free with D+ subscription, so nothing like Amazon Channels. You can access it from the US with a VPN :)

See, this is why I decided to stop buying them on disk because I thought they'd always be available. I bought the first season of Daredevil and the first season of Jessica Jones, and had them on my shelf for months before I realized that I hadn't even unwrapped them yet and I was always going to Netflix when I wanted to watch them anyway.

Well, I recently binged seasons 1 and 3 of Daredevil in between episodes 5 and 6 of Hawkeye. I'll probably re-familiarize myself with season 2 again, and perhaps The Defenders before the ax drops.

I own season 1 of Jessica Jones, which I consider to be one of the best seasons of superhero television ever made, but seasons 2 and 3 were a great big pile of "meh".

I've never been able to muster up the energy to revisit Luke Cage given the cliff that they hung season 2 on. Honestly, no real desire to revisit Iron Fist or The Punisher.

If these shows don't find a home where I can access them, I want to complete the Daredevil series on disc and add Defenders to my collection just to round out Matt's arc.

They never finished releasing all the seasons on disc. But Disney has said they're going to make an announcement soon about where the shows will be available to watch, so they're presumably not going into a vault or anything like that.

Not entirely independently. Disney+ offers a subscription bundle of itself, Hulu, and ESPN -- though it's the same price as D+ and Hulu by themselves, and I'm not interested in ESPN anyway, so it doesn't do me any good.

You'd only think that if you didn't know anything at all about Hulu.

I don't. Anything that's exclusive to Hulu has always made its way here to Canada other ways, like how "Runaways" was a Hulu program but was shown on the Showcase channel here.

On a more Marvel related subject, I was going through the old issues of the Ben Reilly era of the Spider-Man comics. I'd forgotten how enjoyable some of the stuff there was.

Like when his main love interest, an intriguing character in her own right who wasn't a "Wet Blanket" boring love interest....turned out to be the daughter of the Burglar who killed Uncle Ben and had sworn a lifelong vendetta against Spider-Man as a result.

I'd have enjoyed seeing her show up again in some form, but I doubt anyone remembers her. Though obviously the idea of the Burglar having family had stuck around, because the Spectacular Spider-Man cartoon turned Black Cat into the daughter of the Burglar as well.

Correct, I should say you can subscribe to Hulu independently of D+. Even bundled the platforms are still independent of each other.

Huh, weird. You'd think American D+ would be the one with "everything included".
In the US, Disney brands itself as family/kids entertainment which often is associated with being anodyne with things such as sex, language and graphic violence so I think there's a premium set on keeping such things strictly separated from Disney branded platforms. Having Hulu as another platform not explicitly branded as Disney allows them to split the content and not have parents angry that little Billy saw something inappropriate because they didn't set the parental controls as they should have.

We also have a long history of the government body FCC controlling content with the over-the-air networks where older generations expect there to be "standards" of content preventing anything that might be "indecent" from the airwaves. While this has gone out the door with cable and streaming there's still this history and mentality of having to protect the children and easily offended from being able to see such things.
