Hi everyone,
I’ve been here a few days but only just found this thread.
I’ve been a Trek fan for as long as I can remember. Starting with the TOS movies and on to TNG when that started on BBC 2 in the UK.
DS9 is my favourite Trek.
I wouldn’t say there’s any Trek I’m not a fan of, though I thought stretches of VOY and ENT showed signs of a franchise which had gotten near to burn out.
TAS and Lower Decks are ace. Not seen Prodigy yet.

Hello, Knappos - I'm still a relative newbie myself, but welcome to the board !

I love DS9, too - I could watch Sisko laugh, Garak being... Garak, haha, or Odo arrest Quark all day ;)

Howdy! I'm a newbie from Houston and have been looking for a Star Trek community join. I've been a sci-fi fan most of my life, but really starting digging into Trek in earnest when COVID hit. I've watched all of TOS, TNG, and the new shows. I'm also about half way through DS9 and Voyager. I also picked up Star Trek Online and have been playing through the episodes.

Looking forward to meeting everyone and talking more in the future!

Hi! I’m a returning member who was last active on this forum around 20 years ago. I fondly remember speculating about how DS9 would wrap up its final season in these threads. I got exhausted around the time S3 of ENT came out and my love for Trek laid fallow lo these many years. During the pandemic I decided to finally finish watching ENT (strong finish, Manny Coto, well done) and that turned into a full-blown rewatch of everything. I’ve been pleasantly surprised at how much I’ve enjoyed the streaming era of Trek.

Also apparently I need 14 posts to get back into the full swing of things so I guess it’s time to be opinionated.

Well I have to jump back in someplace. Yes, I drooped of the face of the BBS. I've been seriously sick since November, no it was not Covid. The side effects of being diabetic and old. I got an infection in my foot and because it did not hurt it got very serious before I got a doctor's attention. Long story short, I'm down two toes and still have a long road of healing ahead.

No pity please, that is just what happened. I'm not sick anymore and gladly not as irritable either. I'm getting back on the horse as much for my mental health as anything else.

Yes it is a valid question as to being here aiding mental health in the least.

Whether you are a fresh faced cadet or a grizzled old veteran, if you enjoy Star Trek, this thread is for you. So welcome Trekkies, Trekkers, and Star Trek fans alike.

I figure it would be good to have a thread for newbies to introduce themselves and those who have been here awhile can help them out. It's also cool if you've been here awhile and still want to say hi and introduce yourself. We don't discriminate - unless you're a Klingon :rommie:

Haha! :) @Alidar. But Klingons are the best! They like their bloodwine but also their Raktajino! Not to mention all that freshly prepared Gagh! Plus honor, loyalty, tradition... Were it not for the Khitomer accords, Klingons would have ruled the Alpha Quadrant.

So, I'm a Trekkie from the Third World and I find precious little in my immediate family or community to discuss ST with. Like, when people start saying that J-L P was Spocks subordinate, no amount of eye rolls suffice.

Ergo, very happy to discover and be a part of this group. Very enthu.

Hi, I'm Frank.

I recently decided to finally watch The Animated Series. Great to hear most of the original cast again. I also watched Lower Decks and loved it. It's like official fan fiction.

Also stoked for Picard, season 2.

Preparing to begin Discovery soon. And I'm rewatching some of my favourite episodes from previous series.

2022 seems to be a Star Trek resurgence for me.

Oh yeah, and I saw the last two movies a couple weeks ago. They were okay.

Hi Frank. I'm Wrick. I don't care about the movies either. I like TNG and DS9, being complete opposites.

Welcome to the group. :)
