My favorite speculation, UFO's are Time Traveling Tourists from the future....

In the here and now I look up and I see a UFO....

Sometime in the future, after TT is invented, I buy a ticket for a TTT where, during the trip, I look down and see my previous self seeing the UFO I am inside.

But why prank yourself?

O, IC. Well, "buzzing" or "pranking" my past self wasn't part of the speculation.

Neither was stopping off to buy lottery tickets. Other than visually, contact with the past [probably] would be verboten.

In the speculation, I do not own, nor am I flying the UFO. I am just a passenger on a paid cruise into the past who has the fortune of looking down and seeing myself looking up at the TT craft. I then realize a UFO I saw in the past had me inside. See? Just, timey fun.

But playing along with your idea of TTing to the past with the intent of buzzing our past selves, given how difficult it has been making flying cars a thing we can have, I imagine personal use time travel machines will never get licensed.
