could our system be a navigation/jump point for them .and some just look at the scenary on earth before jumping (need to recharge engines/batteries ?
Just no. This sounds like silly Ancient Aliens non-sense.
Well they don't have to actually land just use our solar system as a marker. Why would that be silly?
Sources? Citations?Things to note: we had the ability to create synthetic metamaterials with adaptive properties that can be made in sustainable abundance with minimal impact to the environment a LONG time ago (since 1970-ies).
If anything, I think it's more likely that the visiting "aliens" are from alternate Earths on other branes or branches of reality than visitors from other stars in our universe because there could well be humongously more of the former than the latter. There's something going on - perhaps - not that I've ever witnessed anything.
Usually a hollowed-out volcano. Anyone know what Larry Ellison is up to on Lanai, HI?That is what I keep thinking sometimes. What if aliens are human? Human just like the rest of us except more advanced, maybe from alternate Earths or such.
Which James Bond villain made exotic stuff in a cave or was that an analogy?

But yeah I still think aliens could be humans and not the greys as modern folklore keep insisting
If they come from the far future, maybe the Greys are evolved humans!
tantalizing thought there but why?
Why what? Beings evolve or devolve based on the conditions of their ecosystem. Something might have pushed humans down that evolutionary road, or we did it to ourselves!
You realize none of this has any answers? This is people bullshitting in the complete dark without a shred of evidence, even circumstantial.
Ironically the best film that might point to the existence of ET is one that hardly anyone remembers. Let’s say I am an alien and I send a Bracewell probe to Earth. No FTL, no handwavium.
My probe does an an 1,500 km Leonov-like aerobrake in such a way as to do a resonant return in a couple of decades or so. It would not break up like Chelyabinsk or Peekskill…but it’s contrail would be smooth and laminar…like that of NASA’s Stardust probe…only longer and faster, right?
Now, go and look at the Super-8 footage of The Great Daylight Fireball of 1972 over the Tetons with fresh eyes.
Yes I do realize that. It's just fun to speculate
