I'm not really fond of Season 7 and some of Season 6 but I have a soft spot for DS9 and especially Season 2 because that was when I really became a fan and was the last time I didn't have some hint of what was going to come in Star Trek. You get hints about everything and it's hard to avoid spoilers but back then I really enjoyed tuning in each week not knowing what was going to happen. I like the introduction of the Maquis, the subtle crossovers with TNG, the expansion of the main and secondary characters and introduction of the Dominion. I think Season 1 was quite good with stuff like If Wishes Were Horses, Progress, Duet and In the Hands of the Prophets. I do think it's best seasons, and for me the best seasons of Trek, were 3 to 5 and I loved it's semi-serialised use of continuity there, where each episode's major story was wrapped up but a lot of time was built on threads that started episodes or seasons ago. I always point to Ties of Blood and Water, how it's a sequel to at least Second Skin, Shakaar, The Darkness and the Light, By Inferno's Light and To The Death, if not more. At this point it's the series I've watched the most of, only missing Dramatis Personae, Shadowplay and half of The Siege of AR-558.
