Spoilers Hawkeye -Discussion Thread

They get a mention, but all we ever see of them is them hunting down Inhumans.

Well yeah, mainly because they couldn't afford to get any of the Big Avengers Actors on the TV show. But they're included in the guy's speech, so public distrust fits.

Exactly. It's like how they cut headbutts out of films in the UK. Can't see any headbutts in the Matrix films but jumping off buildings, kicking people in the head, playing with the idea that the world you live in is not real are all OK compared to that.
Kids *can* headbutt or kick people in the balls while fighting in the playground; they can't repel down buildings or dodge bullets.

We do live in different times I guess. My apartment complex sent a notice of unsupervised children playing outside. Growing up I can't remember ever being home between school (which I walked home from alone) and supper.

Just saying, it feels funny that shows have to protect the children from naughty ideas now.

And there are no diamonds in coal like there was in Superman III. But that didn't stop me taking a hammer to them as a child to find out.

I hope they do. They'd be fun as recurring bad guys or muscle for the main villain in another story. They're the right combination of menacing and comically incompetent to give them a Bond henchman-in-the-Roger Moore Era feel. They're basically Jaws in Moonraker.

Even though it's funny, what happened to those tracksuit mafia types must be one of the scariest things to happen to anyone in the MCU. You have shrunk and you know you will either run out of air soon or be eaten by a giant owl from their perspective.

Just watched the first episode, so haven't read this thread. Have two comments so far:

1) No fucking way that costume fits Hailey Stienfeld that we'll (even if it is a little lose still) without extreme tailoring

2). No fucking way, even in the costume, is anyone going to mistake 23 year old Hailey Stienfeld in a body hugging uniform with a full face of make up for middled aged Jeremy Renner.

Hailee Steinfeld is about the same height as Jeremy Renner, so the size difference might not be that significant.

And, well, the Tracksuit Mafia aren't exactly intellectual powerhouses. Plus it was dark.
