Interesting. I don't know anything about Val-Zod, so I'll be cautiously optimistic there. What really caught my attention was at the bottom: "...a live-action adaptation of Static Shock for DC, The Broken Earth trilogy for Sony..." I loved the Static Shock cartoon and I've heard a lot of good things about the so-many-awards-winning Jemisin trilogy.
I mean, I'll take it, but I still would prefer them doing something with Captain Carrot and the Zoo-Crew.
Superpets looks like fun, but I didn't realize they were going with their own new characters, besides Krytpo, instead of the superheroes' pets from the comics. Doesn't bother me, it's just not what I was expecting.
It's also worth noting that today is the 70th anniversary of the release of the first-ever feature film based on a DC comics character: Superman and the Mole-Men.
Indeed, the first feature film based on any comic-book superhero. The only previous live-action comics adaptations were adventure serials.
Another DC property is filming in Glasgow. JK Simmons said Batgirl will film there in January. https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/entertainment/tv-radio/jk-simmons-confirms-glasgow-filming-25549241 The Batman The Flash Batgirl Non DC property is Indiana Jones 5

Ben Affleck is making the rounds this week promoting "The Tender bar" and he stopped by Jimmy Kimmel to talk a bit about the flash movie https://www.darkhorizons.com/affleck-done-with-big-ip-talks-flash/ He shared no scenes with Keaton. They could still body double it to make it look like he's talking with Keaton. Also Affleck said he's most likely done making big theatrical movies/franchises. The industry has changed that most people would rather see a movie at home on their own time. Also Blue Beetle is heading to the cinema and not just relegated to HBO Max https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie-news/dcs-blue-beetle-release-date-1235064160/
Michael Keaton is to appear in the Batgirl movie. And (Jesus the Snyder-bronies are going to go nuts over this) Michael Shannon and Antje Traue are to appear in the Flash movie. https://www.darkhorizons.com/shannon-joins-flash-as-keaton-joins-batgirl/
It depends on how it goes. The Snyder-bronies are already angry that Keaton is in Batgirl and not Affleck. Why and how do you bring back Zod? Flashback? Alternate universe in which he lives and undoes the ending of Man of Steel.... they would love that...LOL It’s curious we are getting all this casting info so early. I wonder if we will get a trailer around the Super Bowl. The likelihood of Henry Cavill appearing in The Flash is even higher now.
I thought of that, and it's certainly a possibility. There are also rumors/speculation, however, that Calle's Supergirl is Clark and Lois's daughter from the Christopher Reeve film universe. If that turns out to be the case, they probably wouldn't want to cross streams with the DCEU for "her" Zod.
That is the first I have heard that rumor. Seems highly unlikely. She is wearing a suit that is based on Henry Cavill’s and that looks nothing like Reeve’s. From her looks it’s going to be very hard to accept Sasha Calle as either the daughter of Christopher Reeve and Margot Kidder or Henry Cavill and Amy Adams. From her dark eyes I could see her being the daughter of Henry Cavill and Gal Gadot. Alternate universe.
Hmm, so I wonder if that means Keaton's Batman will sticking around in the main DCEU universe? I'm surprised we'll be seeing Shannon and Traue again, did not expect to them to show back up. I'm guess they must be connected to Supergirl's presence since we aren't getting Superman.
The "Christopher Reeve film universe" part is, as far as I know, pure speculation, though it seems fairly plausible given the film's multiversal premise, and the fact that they're already leaning into nostalgia for decades-old films by bringing Keaton back. Plus, I'd really like it. That she's Clark and Lois's daughter in whatever universe she hails from, however, I believe to be highly likely. Her entire look, from costume to hair, is clearly based directly on Lara Lane-Kent, and Muschietti has referred to her as a "half solar-powered alien."
We saw Zod's corpse in BvS. Though Faora might have survived her unprotected, gravity-collapsing trip to the Phantom Zone at the end of MoS with some hand-wavey "science".
