Two horses nuzzling make it eligible for the Animals not Cats and Dogs, thread too.

So apparently there was another screening of the movie. Now it's almost 3 hours. Almost could mean 2 hours 45 minutes. It's also said to be a full blown film noir.
Sounds good to me. Over the last few years, I've actually found I'm starting to prefer longer movies, as long as they actually need to be that long, and aren't dragged out forever.

I've said it before half-jokingly, but I kind of feel ripped off if a movie is less than two hours long. Shorter movies should have lower ticket prices.

Kids movies and animated movies are usually shorter, so that doesn't bother me too much, but for big epics like Star Wars, or comic book movies, I definitely prefer 2 hours+.
It's not a make or break thing for me, there have been some good shorter movies, I just prefer if they're longer.

A movie should be as long as it needs to be to tell its story, no longer or shorter. I don't care whether that's 80 minutes or 180, as long as it's right for the story. Too many movies these days are self-indulgently padded and could stand to be shorter. And yet many are cut too tightly and rush through things that deserve more attention.

I gotta admit, I'm loving just about everything about this............Did not like the casting when it was announced, but this looks epic and DARK.

Damn. I know I'm the one constantly wanting a lighter take on these characters, but screw that, this looks awesome!

Yeah, I have to confess, I watched Love & Monsters this morning, and it was only about 1:45 and it was the perfect length for the story they were telling, and I really enjoyed it.

While I love the aesthetics and the promise of a film noir story, I'm not keen on Batman's brutality. I wish the trailer focused more on the Riddler's puzzles and mind games instead of that brutality.

I just rewatched the first two Bill & Ted movies to prepare for watching the third, and I found myself thinking of this conversation. They're 90 minutes each, short enough that I could easily watch them both in a day with time to spare, and they don't need to be any longer. (Station!!)

If you told me that was a trailer for a 4th Nolan Bat film, just with recast actors and a bit more edgelord stuff added, I'd believe you. It looks just like his style, especially the night chase scene which looks a lot like the Batman night chase in TDK. Those damn movies are a decade old, but DC will never stop chasing their success (I'm not a huge fan of them, but WB/DC is just obsessed with them).

I don't need another Nolan style Baman film, much less an edgier/stupider looking one. An easy skip until I can get the DVD for free from the Public Library.

You love saying that word. So much that it rarely has meaning.

I mean, I'm not an English teacher so I can't really help you with your lack of comprehension. If you are unfamiliar with words/phrases, its easy enough to google them. Here's a hint, though: the term edgelord fits The Batman perfectly, it could be used as an example of the concept in a dictionary.

Obviously you're no teacher of any kind. That would require experience, education and communication skills. You're just someone who latches on to a word or phrase and proceeds to run it into the ground.
This Batman seems no more "edgelord" than any other since 1989 ( in movies) and since the 70s (in comics).
You're closer to being an internet edgelord than Batman will ever be.
