Is this T'Pol's alter ego when she’s doing a comedy tour?I also choose old T'lol and a Captain Lorien
There's an implied reference to the Gorn in season 2 of Disco, they are presumably the "alligators on Cestus III" Leland said he was dealing with when he and Pike last met.First contact was in “Arena” and the attack on the Federation colony on Cestus III was a primitive strike from them. However, the Gorn homeworld has never been seen before. The only mention was that the Gorn Hegemony was in the five systems, according to Harrad-Sar in ENT, and that they made the finest meridor.
Early relations with the Cardassians. If we go by Star Trek XI, the Federation already knew enough about the Cardassians by this time to sell one of their drinks.
Iloja of Prim was one hell of a bartender.Early relations with the Cardassians. If we go by Star Trek XI, the Federation already knew enough about the Cardassians by this time to sell one of their drinks. It could be that initially the Federation and the Cardassians were on good terms (even possibly friendly), but maybe the seeds for their future border war were planted here. Whereas the Klingons were enemies that became allies, possibly the Cardassians were allies that became enemies...
Tarsus IV for a couple of reasons.
OTHO, the Tarsus IV thread might be better suited to be a Short Trek, if those ever come back.
- According to her bio in “In A Mirror, Darkly, Part II” Hoshi Sato and her family supposedly died at the hands of Governor Kodos during that event, but that bit of information was never shown on screen, so therefore its not canon. I’m wondering if SNW should make that canon or not. This event would have happened when Pike was serving under Captain April, and when Spock was sixteen while Michael Burnham was studying at the Vulcan Science Academy.
- There were six other survivors from that event (outside of Kirk, Reilly & Leighton) that did not know the face of Kodos and had died by the time of TOS. It might be interesting to see that event from the perspective of one of those other survivors.
Another thread may be an appearance from Emony Dax, who met McCoy years earlier (according to Jadzia), and her previous host Tobin would have been alive during the early days of the Federation. Beta canon places Tobin as working one an advanced warp engine during the Earth-Romulan War, working on a countermeasure to the Romulans' telepresence tech during the war, a witness to the launch of the NX-02, and working alongside Reed when he was captain of the USS Pioneer. In any case, Trills were known to the Federation by Pike's time.
I’ll be sure to read it, thanks. There's a really good Discovery novel that deals with that actions of young Kirk, and officers Georgiou and Lorca during the Tarsus IV incident.

if you haven't read it, this is one I'd definitely recommend.
I would love to see something like that.I’ll be sure to read it, thanks.
But still, maybe there’s a Short Trek dealing with Georgiou being debriefed about the Tarsus IV Massacre (maybe sharing the name of the novel), mentioning Hoshi and her husband as among the victims in passing. And the SNW crew have a run in with the Karidian Players while on an away mission in a future season, and having to deal with massacre being brought up when its considered to be a closed matter.
